My husband, two teenage daughters and I stayed at this suite over a long weekend. It was clean, spacious, economical, convenient to transportation and on a quiet, tree lined street in Brooklyn. We could easily catch the train into Manhattan, yet escape those busy streets at night. We went for runs in the very convenient Prospect Park and had amazing meals in the restaurants within walking distance, which were recommended by our hostess--who was very helpful and accommodating. We will definitely stay here again!Recommended for: Tourists without a car, age 55+, families with teenagers, girls getaway, sightseeing, families with young children, romantic getaway, adventure seekers.
Owner response: Thanks for sharing your experience with other guests! I hope to see you back here soon.

We recently stayed here during a shopping trip to New York. Krista was most welcoming upon our arrival. The apartment is close to subways and most bus routes. There are lots of nice restaurants and cafes in the vicinity also. Overall, I would definitely recommend this place.Recommended for: Tourists without a car, sightseeing.
Owner response: Thanks for your review Julie! I'm glad to hear you found the apartment convenient for your shopping trip.

The location is great with easy access to great places to eat, supermarkets and the subway. We did not fully appreciate that there would be so little natural light in the apartment. The bedrooms are of a good size and the rest of the facilities were more than adequate.Recommended for: Tourists without a car, sightseeing.

This apartment is perfect for a vacation to New York City. It is only a five minute walk to the subway so it's very convenient. The apartment was clean, cozy, warm and well decorated. The banana bread on arrival was a nice touch. The beds are very comfortable too so we had wonderful nights of sleep!Owner response: Thanks for taking the time to share your review Jamie! Hope to see you next time. Best wishes, Krista

My husband and I took our four kids (ranging in age from 8-17) to New York City for the first time and stayed in this basement apartment. It was a pleasure from start to finish. The photos of the apartment, while giving an idea of what it looks like, do not do justice to the spaciousness and charm of the place. Krista goes above and beyond with her homemade banana bread and we were pleasantly surprised, after a full day out with the kids, to find the yummiest teas in the cupboard. The six of us sat up each night over Krista's yummy teas and relived our day's experiences. The subway was close to the apartment and we found it easy to navigate. It was just a short train ride in to Manhattan; and we loved coming home to the Brooklyn neighborhood late at night. We had the kids out most nights until 2 and 3 in the morning and always felt completely safe in the neighboryhood. We can't wait to return. It is the little something extra that Krista puts into her VRBO that makes it the Perfect Place To Stay In NYC!Recommended for: Tourists without a car, age 55+, families with teenagers, girls getaway, sightseeing, families with young children, romantic getaway, adventure seekers.

My wife and I thought Krista was a lovely hostess! Our flat was adorable and posh-- we were quite taken by it. Many nights we decided to stay in and cook our meals because the kitchen was so perfect and we saved quite a bit and we enjoyed the atmosphere. Her decor is beautiful. We also enjoyed may of the delicious and affordable restaurants in the neighborhood. We strolled to the Brooklyn Botanic Gardens, and Prospect Park. We would go back again!Recommended for: Tourists without a car, age 55+, girls getaway, sightseeing, families with young children, romantic getaway.
Owner response: Thank you for your comments Noel & Suzanne! It was lovely to meet you. See you next time ;) Krista

Our experience at this Brooklyn apartment was really more than expected. Although we liked the pictures shown, we were surprised by the room we had, as we had imagined it smaller. Krista is absolutely kind and helpful, and it was always a pleasure speaking with her. We understood what people were talking about on their reviews : all the details and the banana bread!!! She arranged everything for our extra-late check out, with the most sympathetic attitude! We also loved the sorroundings, the fact that the whole neighborhood was "awake" so late! And at the same time it was so quiet, we slept like angels (tired angels...) We felt absolutely safe at any time (even at 1 or 2 am) . It´s very easy to get to Manhattan by subway, mainly by lines 2 or 3 (the red ones). We couldn´t be happier with ou choice. Thank you, Krista!!!Recommended for: Tourists without a car, age 55+, families with teenagers, girls getaway, families with young children, romantic getaway.
Owner response: Thank you for your generous feedback Valeria! It was a pleasure meeting you and I hope to see you next time. Best wishes, Krista

The apartment was adorable...decorated so cute! The location was perfect and wonderful restaurants nearby...you definitely have to go to Tom's Diner. Krista is a perfect hostess and the banana bread was wonderful! She has a very informative "survival book" that is better than most hotels information books. I would definitely recommend any apartment that Krista manages...she was such a sweetheart and mailed my daughters dress that we had left in the closet. Hope to be back in the future!!Recommended for: Tourists without a car, families with teenagers, girls getaway, sightseeing, romantic getaway.
