The house was a lot more than i expected. It was very clean and tidy. It's way better than it looks on the pics. Usually it's the other way around. Great place. Will be back

My family and I rented the place for 3 nights and it was great! The location was close to everything lake, shopping, dining, etc. The house was clean, well maintained and had everything that we needed. It had all the pots, pans, cooking utensils, spices, and coffee filters. The only thing missing were hand soap for the 2 full baths but we brought our own. There was a hand soap dispenser but it was empty and they filled it w/ water. Michael was great to work with and i would rent this place again. Heavenly village is a nice for the whole family. Check out Taylor creek visitor center, it has a nice trail and FREE. Great burgers at Burger Lounge! I would highly recommend this property to my friends and family.
Owner response:Thanks Sambo! We look forward to having you back, and we'll be sure to speak with the maintenance crew about the hand soap. Best regards, -Michael

I spent my 40th birthday weekend in Tahoe with a few girlfriends and we stayed here. Awesome location, close to casinos and the cabin was wonderful! Spacious, yet cozy at the same time. They have Direct TV. This cabin met all of our needs. We plan on renting it again in the future!
Owner response:We picked this location because although it is in a quiet neighborhood with access to trails, it is conveniently close to shopping and restaurants; the casinos at Stateline; and skiing at Heavenly.

Came up here with several good friends for a weekend of snowboarding, Had us debating if we wanted to go out to the strip or opting to stay here and relax. I would do it all over again, and recommend staying here. Thanks, Ed

My family and I had a great time at Lupine Lodge. Everything mentioned on the ad was accurate. The house was in tip top condition. I would recommend this to everyone I know. I am considering renting this property out either in the summer or during the winter again. Definitely check this place out.

Fantastic house. The quality was far greater than we expected - the kitchen was superbly appointed. My wife is a keen cook so to have everything (and we mean everything) available and so new was a pleasure. Probably the house was bigger than the pictures make you think. So much better than using a hotel. Comfortable, clean, spacious, with plenty of space and TV room for the teenagers to disappear into after a hard day's skiing. Little things like shampoo etc in the bathroom was unexpected but appreciated. We had a couple of problems with the TV, satellite setup but a couple of phone calls to the office sorted that out and they were willing to come over to the house to help us through it, although it wasn't necessary in the end. Very close to Heavenly and the village. Will definitely recommend to friends, and have every expectation to use it ourselves again. Ian - Auckland, New Zealand. We also rated it 5star - excellent, particularly good for families. Anyway, we had a great stay and will contact you when we need it again.

We want to go back to the Chipmunk House

The name of the place is actually Lupine Lodge, but Chipmunk House is what my little girls have dubbed the house. The moniker came from the woodsy murals in the den room that my girls loved bunking in during our stay. I guess they imagined themselves being Chip & Dale in that room. The greatest plus of the house is its location. It's in a quiet subdivision, but just minutes away from the hustle and bustle of the S. Tahoe strip. The neighborhood also backs into the Tahoe forest with easy access to hiking and biking trails (it's just a couple blocks away!). For the outdoor adventurers, I would recommend the trails up to High Meadow and Star Lake. After first walking in the house, you are impressed by all the great amenities. The house is beautifully remodeled and very clean. The beds and linens are nice and plush, a luxury for the gals in our group. The outdoor patio and decks are a nice place to relax and hang out. The kitchen came stocked with all the extra amenities I didn't even think about bringing (spices, tupperware, foil, etc) so cooking nice family dinners were easy. It just made you feel right at home. We actually only ate out once and it was at the Original Red Hut Cafe on Lake Tahoe Blvd. It's one of those quirky little places with great food (c'mon they've got bacon waffles) and cheap to boot. They actually have 2 other locations, but the original Hut still has that old diner charm (read its history, it's funny). The only con that my brothers first irked about was the lack of internet. But then at the end of it, they didn't miss it at all. Too much fun going on around. To this date, my girls still ask when we are going to go back to the Chipmunk House. If they want to go back, then you know it's good.
Owner response:Based on our guests' comments, Lupine Lodge now has Internet Access.
