Perfect for what I needed, and the location in Nolita is amazing. The owner was very quick with his communication. I would recommend this apartment.Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 2/2

This apartment is usable for only 2 people if they share the same bed. The sofa couch is terrible and when both are folded out you can't get around them without walking on top of them. The floor was dirty, towels smelled like mildew. The owner gave us a blow up mattress (because we complained) which didn't fit in the space. The bath and kitchen were fine and the neighborhood is great.Owner response: Is the apartment more comfortable for 2 than for 4?? Yes, no doubt. It is even more comfortable for 1 than for 2. But the apartment can fit up to 4 people as the ad says. It can fit 4 people because it is equipped for 4. What I don't understand with your comment is that you knew it was a studio and you knew the size and the layout of the studio. Everything is clearly indicated in the ad. And you made the choice to be 4. Not me. It is a question of budget. If you wanted a bigger apartment, you would have to spend more money. It has NOTHING to do with the size of my apartment. I have had 2 people, 3 people and 4 people renting my apartment and they were all very happy simply because they read the ad correctly and knew what they should expect. I have a very nice and lovely renovated small studio in one of the best neighborhood of New York City, so I really don't understand your comment. I can accept positive criticism but this comment is simply to destroy. Same for the cleaning and the towels. I am always open to critiques or suggestions and I have a good communication with my tenants. I am always AVAILABLE for my tenants. I told you when you arrived to contact me if there was anything at all. A question, a suggestion, a problem.... I am not criticizing the comment about the cleaning or towels but I just don't understand why you didn't contact me for that (especially the 1st day). I would have sent someone right away. Or you could have told me when you called me to request an extra mattress and more blankets (even if there were plenty enough). I provided you with everything you asked (a Sunday morning) and you still find a way to complain. There was no space enough in the apartment to fit the mattress?? Then why did you ask for one? At this point you've been in the apartment for a few days. So you knew it wouldn't fit. Again this is not positive criticism but only in the goal to destroy because you knew every details of the apartment before you reserved.

I stayed at this studio in September 2009. It was very easy to find and if you're French you might appreciate that the owner also spoke French. The place was clean and simple and safe. Small but functional. The best part about this place was the location. Mott and Prince street is a great Soho location. Awesome wine and tapas bar across the street and a Whole Foods around the corner. Right near the subway. The perfect location really. I would definitely stay here again.Recommended for: Tourists without a car, girls getaway, romantic getaway.
