Come and Enjoy our Lakefront Dockable Home in this 1,500 sq. ft. cottage on a deep-water cove of Lake Hickory in the foothills of Oliver's Landing, Rivercrest Golfing Community of Hickory, NC area. 3 bedrooms - 2 queens and 3rd bedroom has a bunkbed.
We are close to shopping, furniture shopping, boating and jet ski rentals, local Wildlife Access for public boat ramp a short distance around the cove, tourist attractions, or just swim or fish off the floating dock.
Relax and sit on the wood deck overlooking the fantastic views of the lake. Bring your boat, fish pole, clubs, and your bathing suit. There is something for everyone. This fall and winter cuddle up and sit by the fireplace. Take a day trip to Boone, NC for sking, snow tubing, and shopping (close to furniture stores).

We had a wedding to attend in this area. This house had everything and was perfect for our pets. We had a great time. The lake was great for swimming and fishing. The locals were awesome as well as the places we went to eat. Our only regret is that we didn't have more time to stay! Thanks Sherry - we are going to try and book again!Recommended for: Adventure seekers, families with teenagers, pet owners, romantic getaway.

We stayed here for my daughter's graduation from LR. It was just perfect. We have a dog who loved the lake, yard and golf course. The house is in a very quiet area, lots of singing birds and nice neighbors. We wished we had our boat as there is a dock. The house has everything we needed and Sherry, the owner is great to work with. I cannot imagine a more perfect situation for our family. My husband, and 6-year-old daughter visited this beautiful lake house the last week of July and couldn't have been happier. It's clear that the owners have put a lot of thought into renting this property and making their guests comfortable. We did not feel like anything was missing, from the kitchen to gorgeous bathroom with jetted tub, and extra large washer/dryer. My daughter especially loved the bunk beds, and we appreciated the tv in the master bedroom, as well as WIFI internet access. Swimming from the floating dock was lovely and refreshing, and we caught a few little sunfish that we released, as well. Very quiet area - very clean house. Obviously well cared for. Perfect location for day trips to Hiddenite (gem mining), Boone, Blowing Point, Tweetsie Railroad, Linville Caverns, etc. We had a great time gem and gold mining, and visiting the local sites. Would definitely stay here again in the future if our vacation brings us back to the area!Recommended for: Sightseeing, adventure seekers, families with teenagers, girls getaway, pet owners, romantic getaway, families with young children.

What a great place to be with family and get some R & R!! Adult children, grandchildren and I stayed in this lakeside house for a week. The younger ones really enjoyed the water and the adults enjoyed being together in a relaxing atmosphere. The house was very comfortable, beautifully decorated, clean and well equipted. The owner, Sherry McGill is the most accomidating owner I have EVER met. She made sure my family and I enjoyed our week together. I highly recommend this rental...I will rent again if occasion arises.Recommended for: Sightseeing, age 55+, families with teenagers, girls getaway, romantic getaway, families with young children.

This is a wonderful place to get away. The house is spacious and very well maintained. We enjoyed our stay and had a great time. Satellite TV and wireless internet were a great plus too.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, romantic getaway.

We absolutely loved our stay at the Little Lake Hickory Cottage. It's located in a prime community but is off the beaten path, just enough to feel away from it all. We spent time at the well-supplied house in Summer, Fall and Winter and will always return when we can...the owners are special people who care about this little piece of heaven. The rooms are spacious and bright, everything works great and the fireplace is fabulous! We love sitting on the back deck for meals or just a soak in the hot tub...what a plus! There is a dock at the bottom of this gem that allows for fishing, swimming or launching a kayak! The cove is peaceful and not too busy with boat traffic...we walked the well- kept streets and the surrounding golfcourse neighbors are friendly and neat. A great country vacation we will always keep dear to our hearts, thanks Bill and Sherry!Recommended for: Sightseeing, age 55+, adventure seekers, families with teenagers, girls getaway, pet owners, romantic getaway, families with young children.

My friends and I have rented the house for the last two years for a weekend get together. House is well stocked, clean and comfortable. Would recommend to anyone wanting to stay near Hickory or enjoy the lake. Sherry is always very helpful.Recommended for: Age 55+, pet owners, romantic getaway, families with young children.

Bill and I bought this home for it's quaintness, trees, golf course (out of business), and boating community. The cove is perfect for swimming and family fun. It is a family and friends vacation spot. My 7 grandkids love it! You will enjoy the Lake Cottage as well. It is also a great base for all to have winter fun in Boone, NC.
