  After searching forever for a reasonable Hotel deal, this web site came up and I am telling you this was IDEAL!!! We were able to bring our son home from BMT graduation to a warm home, bake cookies, make him a home cooked meal and let him relax before headed on to his next destination. It also allowed his grandparents to arrive by bus and others by car all to join us with plenty of space and comfort. We were so pleased that everything we needed to see was also only a short car ride away and stores for supplies just right down the road. It was truly a home away from home that was also fully stocked with necessities, clean, modern, inviting and in the end, cheaper than any Hotel. Also a great neighborhood to walk in the early morning. P.S. Our son was so relaxed that he even proposed to his girlfriend this weekend! Thank you!!!!

  We (me, husband, daughter, grandma & grandpa) stayed for our son's BMT Graduation this week. This was the BEST idea we have EVER had!!! After a 3 day drive to get here, we were so pleased to come inside and feel "at home"! Very clean and comfortable! On Friday we brought our son back and cooked his favorite meal. We all fit around the table and had a GREAT visit! If we had stayed in a Hotel, we would have been sitting on the edge of the beds, trying to all fit in one room. My son had an Airman in his Flight that also rented a home from you. They were the envy of their dorm when they explained what they ate and did! Thanks! Your directions and instructions were perfect and it was easy to get to everywhere!

Our home tends to be over looked due to the 15 miles to Lackland AFB, however its location for you and your family to enjoy without driving all over San Antonio once your Airman was at home with you, seems to be the best part of your stay with us. Having three vacation homes to offer, this is the first we have had families of two Airman in the same flight class to occupy two of our homes at the same time.   Wonderful place to stay for Air Force BMT Graduation. The home has everything you need for a "home away from home". It was great to be able to BBQ and give our son the home cooked meal he wanted, and have a place that he could unwind and relax with family and friends. The home was very well maintained, and very comfortable. Shopping is close by as well as Lackland AFB. Thanks again for sharing your home with us. Walt and Tami T.

  We loved staying here! We were in town (Nov 2011) for our son's graduation from USAF basic training (BMT) with 4 grandparents, his sister and 2 friends... It was wonderful to have a home where we could meet, eat together and share our long weekend. Our new airman especially appreciated having a place to go and hang out and relax away from the crowd. I can't imagine trying to do this with 3 or 4 hotel rooms! Personally I was surprised and delighted to find that we even had wireless internet access - we had other family members anxious for pictures and also business email to monitor. We also appreciated having so many of the "extras" provided - coffee, filters, salt, sugar, soaps etc - those things that you 'must have' but only in a small amount. Overall, this was a great place and Marcelino pretty much thought of everything!!! Thanks in part to the excellant accomodations, our weekend was nothing short of wonderful. As for "location", the home is very easy to find in SE San Antonio and in a nice neighborhood with a park nearby. Also it was an easy drive of just under 20 minutes to the Valley High gate (best for the graduation events) taking the loop - traffic was never an issue and the roads are clearly marked. It was super simple getting to and from Lackland. Thanks Marcelino for providing such a fantastic service! It's looking like we may be back for another BMT graduation next year and will definately stay here again if at all possible!

Thank you for mentioning that our home is not as far away from Lackland AFB as it seems to be and an easy drive under 20 minutes. This is a new neighborhood with all new restaurants, grocery and retail stores just 2 miles from the home with no need to spend too much time driving around for a place to eat and gather and allowing more time to return home and spend quality family time.   Thank you so much for sharing your home with us!! From the first contact we had , the entire process was so easy. The home was such a wonderful place to use as our "home base" during our son's BMT graduation. The layout and furnishings we "top notch". Thanks so much for providing the "basics" - paper goods, coffee, seasonings, soaps, etc. It was nice to have these already there and not have to worry about purchasing things we would only use a tiny bit of. The home itself is beautiful and spacious. The pictures do not do it justice. We had plenty of room to spread out so we could visit. Things were spotless!!! We will definitely be back!!!

Our kids ensure that other kids will enjoy our homes and surroundings for all three of our vacation homes with their input.   "Wow" was the first word I said as we pulled into the drive. The house looks amazing, outside and in, from every angle. Walking inside I was instantly filled with ease, a feeling of relaxation hit me suddenly. It literally felt like i was at home; full furniture, TV's, lovely interior, decor setup/design, supplies, full kitchen and bathrooms ready to use. As a freshly graduated airman this has been the most perfect escape from BMT, as well as the best way to spend my town pass with my whole family. Thanks to the Borrego's and their vacation home we stayed in, the kick-start of my Air Force career will definitely be a moment I'll never forget! I highly recommend this vacation home for any Air Force family celebrating their Airman! Whoya Air Force!

  Feb 2-6, 2011: Thank you so much for having such a great house! The moment we stepped inside we knew we made the right decision to rent (this is our first house rental too)! Everything was very professional with clear instructions (thank you for the email directions to the Air Force base). We were here for the Artic Blast of 2011 and we got "trapped" in the house waiting to pick up our airman, much later then we tought (base closed). We were very grateful for the extra room to spread out and the kitchen. We were much more comfortable here than we would have been in a hotel. It didn't take long for everything to melt and the moment they opened up the highways, we got our airman and brought him back to our new "Home Away From Home". The Heaton's, Beaufort, SC.
