I rented Daisy as a gift for my bf. We live on Oahu and have traveled all over the islands but nothing has been more romantic than the weekend we spent with Daisy. We parked her right on the ocean's edge just past Sandy's beach the first night where we bbq'd while watching fishermen throw their nets into the water. We awoke to the waves crashing and a beautiful sunrise. We then drove her to Yokohama Bay where we again parked her on the ocean's edge and played in the beach and bbq'd and visited with the locals. The next morning we awoke to a beach all to ourselves!! Oh boy!! We spent the next two and a half hours thinking we were the luckiest ppl alive. We loved the van. We didn't need to bring a thing. Jill has thought of everything! It is super clean and very groovy! We loved all the cute dishes and furry pillows. There is nothing like waking up to the sound of the waves crashing with the one that you love! Buy some yummy food and you're good to go! Or you could stop along your way at some of the amazing places only Oahu has to offer(Ted's Bakery has a shrimp special that comes with a free piece of pie our of your choice that is onolicious! And my favorite shrimp truck located in Haleiwa is Mackey's, best breakfast on the island is Cinnamon's in Kailua(amazing crab cake eggs Benedict and carrot cake pancakes). You can take the van to Kailua and kayak to The Mokes and have a yummy breakfast at Cinnamon's! The opportunities are endless!

Owner response: You guys will always be special to us because we tried to get you into so many different weekends and we were always booked...but the weekend you did check in was our babies "Birth Day" Thanks for being patient and I'm so glad you had a great time...I would say lets get together some time but now that we have twins no one wants to be our friends!!! Heck I don't even want to be my friend most days:) Hope to see you back again some time...Aloha Jill, Brad, Brody & Remi

Dear Jill & Brad, My girlfriend surprised me with a weekend with Daisy back in April and we had SOOO MUCH FUN!! We live here and camp all over but having Daisy was a GREAT way to spend a fun and romantic weekend from one end of the island to the other. The camper was wonderfully equipped with everything we needed for all the BBQ'ing and cooking that we did. We enjoyed candle lit dinners and being able to plug the ipod into the stereo to listen to whatever, whenever! I am looking forward to renting Daisy or one of the other campers again but for longer than 3 days next time!! Thank you both for helping my GF make my birthday one to remember!! Much aloha

This was absolutely, hands down, the only and best way to see Oahu. Most travelers stay in Waikiki and with the exception of a few side trips, pretty much only see Waikiki. If you rent a van from Brad and Jill, you will see Waikiki if you want but SO SO much more. You'll be cruising next to locals, sleeping with the waves practically touching the van and you will probably never stay in Waikiki hotels again. We rented Daisy for a week in March. Jill was 9 months pregnant and due to have twins any day. But that did not hinder the amazing customer service that they provided. Brad was beyond helpful and accommodating despite the fact that his wife was due any minute! When we first arrived, Daisy wasn't quite ready for the road so we stayed a night in Tiki. The next day, we brought Tiki back and swapped her out for Daisy. Both vans were incredible but Daisy, we love you!!! Brad and Jill stock the van with everything you could possibly need for your vacation. Beach towels, snorkeling gear, boogie boards, lawn chairs, kitchen amenities, the works! The vans are very well taken care of and run great. And the decor is chic and adorable. Nothing like you'd expect in a VW camper van. They are a home away from home. Your hotel and your rental car, all in one! I could go on for days about the experience but all I can say is that there is NOTHING better than waking up, popping open the back of the van and seeing the ocean just beyond your toes. It was the most unique and relaxing way to experience the beauty of Oahu. As a young couple, we definitely felt the romantic aspect of cozying up in a van together. We loved cruising the island and had no trouble finding camping spots. We even stayed one night in a hotel for a good shower but found ourselves missing Daisy!!! It was unforgettable and we can't wait to go back. It's going to be our March yearly tradition. Thank you Brad and Jill for an amazing experience and congrats on the twins!!! Lindsay & Daniel

Thanks Daisy, Jill and Brad! Wehad an awesome time and really enjoyed exploring the island.Driving the coast was amazing. Definatly stop for chocolate pis at Ted's Bakery soooo yummy! Haleiwa was our favorite town and spent most of our time on the N.Shore. Driving up the east coast was beautiful. Sharks Cove was the best snorkeling and blew Hanama Bay out of the water! Thank you for the awesome memories:)

This has been a vacation of a lifetime for us; perfect, beautiful memories of special time together. Many thanks to Jill & Brad for providing this opportunity. The van has everything we needed and was so comfortable. We spent our first night at Sandy's Beach. We got a late stare so it was dark by the time we arrived. We were grateful for the good directions and easy to find location. We were amazed at the beautiful waterfront we woke up to. We spent a bit to much time body surfing and ended up burnt despite sunscreen, we we were seeking shade for our next night. We ended up at Ho'omaluhia Botanical Gardens in Kaneohe. The scenery is nothing short of spectacular, and it provided the break from the sun we needed. The bathrooms are clean and well maintained, and the campground is secure. The negative to Ho'omaluhia is that they close the gates at 6:30 pm, so this limits your night time activities. It gets dark early here anyway, so we didn't mind. It was the nicest FREE campground we have ever stayed at. The scenery makes you fell as though you were in Jurassic Park or on the island from Lost (well you actually are!) They only have weekend camping and they issue their own permits. Great place we highly recommend for a sun/sand break. Makapu point, across from Sea land, is a beautiful spot too! Thanks Jill & Brad !!!!

What a great way to experience Oahu. We loved being able to just pull over and stay the night where we wanted (well almost anywhere we wanted) Thanks for all the camping recommendations. We particulary enjoyed camping out past dillingham Airfield....nice and quite and we had the whole beach to ourselves! Mahalo, Todd and Ashley, Kelowana, British Columbia, Canada

Tonight will be our 4th night on the island and the first night we have paid to stay!! Jill recommended 3 great sites to park the van and all 3 we found without too much trouble. Sandy Beach was a very nice way to start the trip and the boat harbor near Kahana Beach was beautiful!! We really liked the N.Shore beaches but it's very hard to find a place for free near Haleiwa...we ended up driving past Dillingham airfield which was very nice... So that brings us to today...we are in search of a hot shower...we ended up like those before us at Friends of Melaekahana!! Which is very nice, the waves are not as big as on the N.Shore....but everything is so close and this van is so nice to drive that it does not matter! 02/14/10 Too busy eating shave ice and hittin the pipline to write more... Good Times! Jeff & Karmin

Aloha! Daisy was a dream! What a great way to see the island. We were able to bomb all around with our house on our back! Sandy Beach was by far our favorite place to stay, beautiful sunrise! Lots of other great spots too! We love Kaena..just stay at the very end, not near Dillingham! We will be back for more, maybe next time with the kids! Zeb & Kasey Wanatchee, WA

Aloha! We spent an adventure filled week in Daisy! From Waikiki to the N.Shore and back again. Some tips: Dole Plantation for some pinapple! There are lot's of places to stay in Haleiwa, just try to park on unpaved areas and you shouldn't be hasseled! Make sure to try some shave ice when your here! it's awesome-ask for beans with it, you'll be pleasantly surprised! Take the 83 around the island lot's of places to stop & Admire! Spent a couple of nights at Sandy Beach! Haunauma Bay is a must see! great snorkeling! We had a blast! Jessie and Jason White Rock, B.C. Canada

The camper experience with Jill and Brad Robbins was amazing. The service this couple demonstrated was of excellence to say the least. Jill's heart is to to do all she can to create a memorable, fun, and comfortable experience in the special van while visiting Oahu. Brad is available with his Aussie charm to give his expertise and support to keep the camper operating smoothly. Together Jill and Brad make a great team. Jill and Brad inspired me to live my dream and I will be relocating to Oahu December 4. They are just awesome!

Owner response: Pamela Sue your are amazing and also a true inspiration...I am so happy that you are moving here and teaching us how to live a heathier life!!! Aloha Jill & Brad!!

Trekking through 6 lanes of traffic or cruising the breaks of North Shore: Daisy Rules! Gourmet home cooked brunches at Sharks Cove & Mokuleia "Lost Beach" .....lots of admirers- she's definatly a conversation starter! Camped at Mokuleia Campgroung with turtles and "Friends of Malaekahana" Good spot if you don't have permits...spot 2 rules (firepit, level parking, showers & toilets next door) Sheiled but right on the beach- Pipeline & surrounding breaks are mesmorizing- even the little swells . Drive down the east coast back was magical w/lots of photo ops & beaches...Sandy's shore pound was great...Body surfers are insane!! Thank You Jill & Brad p.s. Hawaii stuff from stores: Lomi w/ chips at sunset spam and eggs... yum fresh fish, meat in banana leaves, pinapple anything!, maui onion salsa & Hawaiian Pinapple Wine!!

Have to say this was our best trip ever! What a way to see Oahu! Daphne had all the comforts of home wrapped up in one groovy package! Some of our favorite spots were Kailua Beach for kiteboarding, Waimea Rock Jump, everything about the North Shore (especially Giovanni's Shrimp Shack!), and just sleeping under the stars in Daphne! Thanks so much for letting us have the trip of a lifetime! We will definately be referring friends... Lauren, Patrick & Davi Shellbrook, SK Canada

Our week with Daphne... A true little joy on wheels! We had a week full of sunshine, adventure and stunning natural beauty. Would recommend "Friends Of Melaekahana" to everyone, a bit more expensive but gorgeous with hot (warm) showers and a beautiful beach. The best State park we stayed at was also at the North Shore, Melaekahana. Although we had been told you cannot sleep in the van at the state parkswe got away with it all week! Also on our top list: Paddel boarding, Weimea Bay ,The Shrimp Shack's and Ted's Bakery! Being met by Jill with a huge smile and a sweet smelling flower garland at the airport was a great way to start a great week. We knew we were in good hands... Thanks! Anna & Paul from the Sweden and the UK living in NYC !

After Boy Scout summer camp my son and I used Daisy to travel and see Oahu. We did not feel like Halle's (mainlanders). We felt very retro and got a lot of attention for our cool ride. Jill and Brad are very helpful and the vans are not lacking in anything that you might need. Binoculars to CD's are to be found onboard. It was a fun week and very easy to deal with Jill and Brad.

Bonjour, Aloha, Travelling through Oahu for 9 days with Daisy gave us the same feeling as sailing from harbour ro harbour, seculuded bays to busy beaches without a dull moment. But more than that, Daisy gave us the opportunity to sail from sea to mountain, from beaches to botanical parks and from city to villages. Thank you Jill & Brad for letting us live this incredable week on Oahu. We came with little, we are leaving with tons of Memories. Au revoir! Philippe et Suzie

My husband and I's 1st vacation ALONE- no kids- 20 years- but what a great one!! To say my husband is not a camper is an understatemeny but, Daisy was like our own comfy beach bungalo. !st night we stayed in Ko'olina parking lot near some shops for early morning snorkeling- perfect and quite- so after full day of snorkeling and then Laua @ Paradise Cove, we stayed in the same place :) Ko'olina had great swimming in the lagoon area and we also ventured up for some hot tub and pool and fresh water rinse- it was perfect. Took Daist to Friends of Meleakahna campground. Showers were great. We played cards and awoke to a beautiful sunrise! What a fabulous vacation! Thanks/Mahalo

Jill and Brad could not have been more helpful in not only getting the van ready for us, but they included everything we would need for our beach camping. Besides everything in the van, there are towels, beach chairs, boogie boards, and even an umbrella. In addition, we asked Jill to get us all the the required camping permits so that when we met her, we had everything we needed to hit the road. She got those for us, and recommended the areas that could good for camping. What was also neat was that we had several people come up and comment on the van. It's a conversation starter, and was part of the total experience.
