This recently remodeled home has a beautiful view of the bay off of Chief Lake.

Chief lake is part of the 17,000 acre pristine Chippewa Flowage. This body of water with its secluded bays and islands is very possibly the most beautiful and unspoiled bodies of water in Wisconsin.

Thanks to thousands of acres of protected land, hundreds of miles of empty shoreline will add to making this a true wilderness escape. It's known for its Muskey fishing (enter to win $10,000), however, northern, bass, walleye, crappie, perch, and blue gill are abundant.

This home and 2 acre yard with gentle slope to the lake will truly be your home away from home. Enjoy fires in the evening just off the huge deck with firewood furnished. Fishing off your private dock is always good with your own private fish cleaning house.

Many islands are equipped for shore lunch and sand beech for swimming. Bald Eagels and other wildlife is at your back door. Snowmobiling is excellent with well groomed and marked connecting trails to most of the state.

Hayward is 20 minutes away with all it's fantastic shops, Casino, two major food stores, famous fishing museum, horseback riding, tackle shops, golfing, and lumberjack contest.

$200/night (3 night minimum) .. $1300/week (Sat-Sat)
Deposit - $500 (per week)
Deposit - $100 (per day) -$200 minimum
Deposits held separate from rent. Rent due before or on arrival.
Deposits - Refunded after stay and home/fixtures are not damaged
Snowmobilers can pay their deposit and rent on arrival due to
changing snow and trail conditions. However, cash, cashiers check or
money order will be required on arrival.

Why the Owner Chose Hayward

We picked this location because of the view, serenity and the abundant wildlife in the area. We also liked the layout of the home and that we didn't have to climb a mountain going to or coming from the lake. We also snowmobile and usually find the trails well marked and groomed and never ever full of other snowmobiles. No fun when you have to constantly keep an eye out for the other guy coming down every trail. Not unusual to go out for an hour or so, and never see another sled.

The Unique Benefits of this House

I think most people will like that they are far enough out to feel and experience the wild, but not so far out that you have to drive for an hour to get to town. On the Big Chip you will find miles of unspoiled shore, islands and wilderness with very little private ownership available.
