Harpwell is blessed with great natural beauty without the crowds. Spend your days relaxing on the deck overlooking the ocean. Observe and enjoy a multitude of wildlife as the tides ebb and flow. Walk out the new large slider to the deck to enjoy your morning coffee while watching the sunrise. Look forward to a late afternoon beverage on this same deck after a fun-filled day. Launch a kayak from the backyard and explore Casco Bay.
This well insulated 4 season cottage has new large windows/slider with magnificent views from the living/dining area. For the occasional cool Maine evening, the 2 propane registers and/or the wood stove will provide cozy warmth. The large family room with cathedral ceilings provides a separate open space for groups to spread out. Kids can be close-by their parents but yet have their own space. There is a large playground less than 2 miles from the cottage.
The Dolphin Marina is at the end of our road. It is famous for Maine's best chowder along with homemade blueberry muffins. The Dolphin has spectacular views. The Marina rents out boats for those interested. It is a lovely walk to the Marina from our cottage. A lobster pound is a mile away from the cottage. Our well-stocked kitchen enables easy meal preparation.
Excellent restaurants abound locally, Brunswick, Portland and Boothbay. Shoppers will love LLBean and the factory stores in Freeport. Brunswick (home of the Bowdoin College) offers the Bowdoin Music Festival and live theater thruought the summer. Casco Bay Tours leave daily from Baily Island, 10 minutes away.
We believe our pristeenly clean and comfortable cottage provides excellent value. The affordability of our cottage enables guests to have the extra funds to partake in all prime location has to offer.
