Hello! I fell in love with the Pink House the moment I saw it in 2002...it has such calming and healing energy! I live and work in this lovely place facilitating, mediating and coaching work teams and families through conflict and into a more peaceful place. I am an avid hiker and world traveler and love old architecture and different cultures/people from around the globe. Like you, when traveling, I love staying in small B&Bs, hostels, small furnished apartments, tents! I still plan to stay on a sailboat and in a tree house :). I have lived in the Boise area my entire life and am happy to share info on hiking and biking trails, favorite restaurants, small ghost towns, favorite outdoor music venues, local wineries. Last summer I adopted Gus, an 8 yr old Rottie, who is now my hiking buddy and official Pink House welcomer! Gus and I look forward to meeting you! ~Sherry

We spent nearly two months at the guest house during our relocation to Boise. Sherry made us feel at home immediately; she was kind and always available. The apartments at the house are lovely, comfotable and well furnished. The neighborhood is quiet and conveniently located. We were lucky to have landed there!!

In our week long visit to see our son, we thought the Loft worked perfectly for us. The downstown stores and restaurants along with the capitol building were all within a short walk. Each morning we walked a few blocks to our choice of coffee shops. The nearby food coop was arrived at in only 5 minutes. There was a lot of positive energy in Boise with many people out and about including many on bicycle. The Loft was very comfortable for relaxing, visiting our son and cooking. The surrounding areas we visited( 1 hour north and 1 hour south) were stunning examples in nature including canyons, desert, pine forests, whitewater rivers, hot springs, lakes, etc. with plenty of trails for hiking, walking and sightseeing. Sherry was friendly and welcoming and checked in to see if we had any needs over the course of the week. The reservations process was easy and dependable with plenty of communication via email and phone. We had a great time and would recommend staying at the Pink Guest House.

Dear Sherry, Thank you for making my six week stay in Boise so very special. I loved calling the Retro my little home away from home and it made my visit with family here so much fun and relaxing. You are a dear person and I am honored to call you friend. I am looking forward to next summers stay at the Pink House and exploring all the many layers of downtown and the surrounding areas. Take care, MJ

Dear potential future clients, we would like to highly recommend this Pink Guest House property if you are considering staying in Boise in your future travels! The property is nicely laid out, comfortable, attractive, practical and cosy. It benefits from the use of a great little flowering patio for having a drink out of doors on or eating - very pretty - and for those inclined to cook it has a BBQ - we enjoyed numerous breakfasts and evening drinks on the patio. We used the apartment as a base pad for our holidays, visiting Redfish lake, fishing in numerous nearbye rivers, swimming at Sandy Point and other great outdoor recreation facilities all within easy reach. However, we also loved the Guest house's central location as it is walking distance to the center where there are numerous places to eat out, a great Saturday market, shops etc and also walking distance to Hyde Park with it's pretty terraces and restaurants, not forgetting easy access to the Co-Op , a healthy grocery store that has wonderful ice-creams! :) The owner is also very hospitable and open to ideas. All in all a very professional and welcoming guest house that will no doubt continue to do well - so book in advance! We will certainly be back!!!

I picked the Pink Guesthouse to stay in since I have just moved to Boise from Britain, so I am used to living close to everything. The room is very nicely appointed and has everything I need with a great open-plan living space. My furnished studio, the Carriage House, is above the detached garage, next to which I have my own parking space. My car stays there a lot, because I love walking around. It's only 2 blocks to the fabulous Co-op, a few blocks to downtown where Sherry recommended I go for the weekly Saturday Farmer's market (great diversity of stalls, fantastically attended, live music, free tastings), and 10 or so blocks to Albertsons. Today I walked to the laundromat, and while the wash was on I experienced the buzzing patio cafe culture of Sunday brunch at Hyde Park. My first week here, I happened upon the annual Greek Festival nearby. In the evenings and weekends, families are biking around. On Wednesday evenings many people walk or bike into downtown for the free live music (Alive after Five). There is also First Thursday downtown which is kind of an art event where galleries are open late, and the pubs/bars have special happy hours. Boise is a nice size, and I plan to drive out to the Botanical Gardens for Thursday night concerts, and to the Idaho Shakespeare Festival. There is great morning sun at the patio table accessible to my studio, and since the garden is far from any roads it is really quiet and peaceful in the evenings. I am so much happier than I would have been in a corporate extended stay apartment studio.

Sherry, We were so blessed to be able to have a whole month in the Pink House Loft! The location was perfect for us - we had a routine in the mornings of walking to town to grab a cup of coffee then a beautiful walk...always discovering some where new. We loved being so close to so many events and AMAZING restaurants. Thank you - we love Boise and will definitely return. You are so sweet and a gracious host! Love, Jill and Bill

Sherry, Thank you SO much for welcoming Rob and me into the Carriage House. It really turned out to be the perfect place for our little family these past few weeks. So glad the weather held...it was beautiful and perfect for Jordyn's first trip to the zoo, and walks downtown and Hyde Park :) The decorating is perfect and uncluttered...don't change a thing! Take care and have fun in all you do! Jessica, Rob and Jordyn
