Lakeside Paradise is a vacation rental property that offers our guests the most enjoyable and memorable, as well as affordable vacation possible. The rental is available year round to a worldwide clientele and offers with its location, nearby attractions and its numerous amenities a most fantastic vacation opportunity. We have made a few changes to improve our rental. The master bedroom now has a king bed; the office has been converted back into a queen bedroom; the main house and deck level are wheelchair accessible; and the property is now fenced. Located on one of the cleanest lakes in the US, Lakeside Paradise, LLC enjoys close proximity to shopping, dining, and easy access via Corridor X to the nearby metroplex of Birmingham or across US 69 N to I-65 to Huntsville. We are located in Walker County only fourteen miles from Jasper's Super Wal-Mart. Also close are other grocery and restuarant chains in Jasper. Curry is six miles away with several restuarants, grocery shopping & hardware store. Bring your boat and jet skis and launch for free at the nearby Alabama Power Company public boat launch near the dam. Or, save the expense and hassle of towing your boat. Leave it at home and rent one of ours.
See fantastic scenery such as wide vistas of emerald green water or sheer rock cliffs towering above, or the many multi-million dollar homes on the lake. If you enjoy fishing, Smith Lake has produced many record catches in several varieties of game fish. Fishing tournaments are held throughout the year. Leave the mercury vapor light on and fish at night off our boathouse.
Lakeside Paradise is offered as an ultimate privacy entire property rental for several days, a week, a month or a year. Vacation Rental Features
- Amenities
- Air Conditioning : Separate units for each floor. Our guests select their comfort level.The screened porch is not air conditioned. There is no place provided in the ad to discuss cleaning. However, we use hospital strength products to sanitize. All hard surface floors are steam cleaned after vacuu ing. We use a steam mop to finish off all carpet.
- Linens Provided : We also change to freshly laundered mattress pads between guests.
- Washer : Laundry room is stocked with detergent, fabric softener, etc. We invite you to take clean clothes home.
- Dryer : The dryer communicates with the washer to know what to do with what is coming from the washer.
- Off Street Parking : Four midsized vehicles may be parked abreast in front of the garage doors and on the side apron. Then the circular concrete driveway is open for unobstructed traffic flow. The circular drive can be used for additional parking. Unloaded boat and jet ski trailers can be hand rolled off onto grass areas. They will need to be moved for the Friday lawn service. Please do not park cars on the grass.
- Parking for RV/Boat/Trailer : Only unloaded boat and jet ski trailers may be hand rolled onto grass areas for storage during your visit.

- Queen Bed (4) : Four queen bedrooms; three up and one downstairs.
- Double Bed : The bunk room has a double under a single, and a single over a single. All mattresses are full size.
- Twin/Single Bed : There are full size mattresses not bunk boards. Please note, these bunks are not sized for adults. Any person 5' 6" will be comfortable. A six foot teenager will be a tight fit.
- Bunk Bed (2) : The bunk room has a double under a single plus a single under a single. Bunk room sleeps five.
- Convertible Bed : We have a queen sleeper sofa in the gameroom plus a queen air mattress that can be put down anywhere there is room.

- Jetted Tub in Bath : One in master bath.
- Private Hot Tub : Hot Springs Spa seats seven. You absolutely must use dry freshly washed bathing suits to enter the spa. Entering the spa in a bathing suit wet or dry from lake water creates an instant green algae bloom in the heated water. This forces an expensive draining and sanitizing procedure. Please enjoy the spa but respect the rules.
- Cable/Satellite TV (3) : Three large screen HDTV all with home entertainment systems and Direct TV allowing for separate programming on all.

- Full Kitchen : The gourmet kitchen has a double door fridge, a menu driven double oven, a dishwasher, microwave and a stand alone ice maker. For extra heavy ice production there is a "twice ice feature" that doubles the ice output. A crock pot, wok, mixer and blender are also provided.
- Cooking Utensils Provided : Our cooking utensils allow the chef to prepare gourmet meals as well as hot dogs.

Our 600 sq ft patio is covered & has a table with four chairs, three wicker chairs, two rockers. The spa deck has a park bench. The patio has two fountains for water sounds.

- Boat rentals are available. Why go to the expense and hassle of towing your boat. Leave it at home and rent one or both of ours. We offer a 29 foot aft cabin cruiser at $1000 for your entire stay. The kids will love camping out on her. She has heat and ac but no toilet. Or, rent our 24 foot pontoon party barge for $750 for your entire stay. A separate rental agreement is required.

- Pet Friendly : Your pet (cat or dog) is welcome. Please apply a flea and tick medication to your pet prior to its stay with us.
- Handicapped Accessible (may have limitations) : There are wheelchair Ramps to walk up. The lake is accessible by using a gently sloping walkway around the home. At the end of the first ramp locted at the side of the home there are three steps; at the end of the second ramp to the boat house there are six steps. The VRBO step count does not count those within the home.
- Wheelchair Accessible (may have limitations) : See handicapped section above. Our home was designed with my disability in mind and all critical doors are extra wide. The home's main level is whellchair accessible.

Why the Owner Chose Lewis Smith Lake
Jane and I grew up with a rustic cabin on Smith Lake in both families; we knew that Smith Lake offered the very best waterfront experience available. We were extremely fortunate to find the perfect lot and spent 2005 under construction. Our home offers quality and comfort combined with a unique cottage style and all the amenities to make your stay perfect. Shopping and dining are six miles away in Curry or drive fourteen miles to the Super Wal-Mart in Jasper.
The Unique Benefits at this House
Smith Lake is widely known for fantastic fishing and some of the cleanest water in the country. It is a finger lake with 512 miles of shoreline with channels of very deep water winding up the many valleys back from the dam. Many homes offer wide vistas from high bluffs and beautiful expanses of water. Too often this translates into dozens if not hundreds of steps down to the water. Ours is truly a rare lot that offers deep year round water coupled with fantastic views of wide water vistas while affording water access with only six steps. Take a look at the picture of our boat house ramp taken from our patio. Better lake access can not be found! Come let us make your Smith Lake vacation the very best vacation experience of your life.
