A stroll 3 blocks west takes you to lively South Congress Avenue (aka SoCo) — filled with fantastic restaurants, cafes, boutiques, and music venues. A stroll 3 blocks east takes you to Big Stacy Park equipped with 3 acres of walking trails and a heated, spring-fed swimming pool. You'll also find a playground and wading pool at little Stacy Park. Enough fun to entertain even the the tiniest travelers for hours.

We live in this neighborhood, we love this neighborhood. Once you've enjoyed a relaxing stay at the little Red House, we know you will too!

Wonderful Stay at the Red House

My family and I stayed at the Red House over new years eve and we couldn't have been happier! The house was clean and bright and had a nice open floor plan in the kitchen and living room and two nice sized bedrooms with big comfortable beds and fresh clean linens. We were traveling with two small children and the house was very child friendly. Our older child stayed in the front bedroom and we stayed in the master in the back, which had plenty of room for our travel crib. We could have easily accommodated another person or couple in the sleeping loft and the backyard and mudroom with washer and dryer were great bonuses. The location of the house is also excellent, only a few blocks from the shops, restaurants and food trucks on South Congress. And the nightly rate for this two bedroom house was actually less than some of the one bedroom hotel rooms in the area for the same time period. Overall we were very happy with our decision to stay here and were very satisfied with both the house and the overall customer service of the owners.

This was the perfect house for us! We stayed in Austin for Christmas and this was a very clean and comfortable place for us. The owners were very receptive and graciously accommodated us when came in a day early. It is a stroll down the street to great restaurants and shops. Our son really enjoyed the loft area! He felt like he had his own treehouse escape! We would definitely stay in the Red House again! It is a home away from home in the most adorable neighborhood!

We stayed at the red house and had an outstanding trip! The house was clean and well maintained, perfect for our family. The beds were very comfortable, we slept wonderfully and all the amenities worked well. The location was great, allowing us to walk to stores and restaurants only a few minutes away. The owners were extremely accommodating and easy to contact. Although we didn't have any issues, I have no doubt they would have been more than happy to help make any arrangements we needed. We will be staying here again the next time we visit Austin and would recommend this house to anyone that is visiting.

My husband and I shared this cute house with my daughter and son-in-law...there was room for more! Lots of open, modern space in this little place. All amenities were top-notch. This eclectic house is set in a great Austin neighborhood...within walking distance of South Congress which is THE happening place in Austin...lots of cute boutiques, quirky shops and wonderful restaurants. We would recommend this rental to our friends and our families will definitely stay there again!

We (husband and wife) spent a month here in the winter and had to peel ourselves away when it was time to return home. This sweet house offered everything one could possibly want in a vacation rental! Perfect location, walking to South Congress, yet on a quiet neighborhood street so nights are peaceful and comfortable under fresh crisp sheets! The fenced yard was perfect for our little dog to play and have a place to lay in the sun. The beds were comfortable, kitchen fully equipped, and the two bathrooms were great for getting ready in the morning! We had the pleasure of meeting the owners and they could not have been nicer! When we emailed them questions, we received a response literally within minutes! When visiting Austin again, we will stay with SoCo Spaces, no question!!

I got married July 3rd in downtown Austin and we stayed at this house instead of staying in the hotel where our guests were staying. I couldn't have picked a better place to spend the days before the wedding. When you walk in the house, you automatically feel like you are at home. It is so comfortable and cozy, I never wanted to leave. Everything about the house was just perfect. Dani & Joel were also very nice people and really easy to work with! They made sure everything was tidy and perfect upon our arrival---they also had a little welcome note for us which I thought was so sweet! It was also a great location, quiet neighborhood, yet close enough to anything you could possibly need. I am definitely looking forward to renting this place again in the future. It was absolutely perfect.

Thanks again for letting our crew stay in your funky house. You can't beat the South Congress area for a vacation to Austin. The weather was perfect, we enjoyed the walk to Congress street restaurants and stores. The kitchen was well stocked and provided everything we needed for our home-cooked meals. The beds were AMAZING!!! This is one of the coolest places to stay in Austin! My husband and I rented this for our little getaway before we met up with my family later in the month. What a delightful home. It is a perfect combination of charm and urbanity. It offers all the comforts and more of an upscale hotel. It might sound cliche but the attention to detail is what sets this location apart from the rest-from a fully loaded ipod with a fine music selection to the sleek and simple loft-nothing was overlooked. The backyard and it's towering maple tree made a perfect haven for fire-orange and magenta butterflies and brush-tailed squirrels. The large neighborhood cat would lazily stroll across the front yard in no rush to get to his destination across the street. Even the neighbors were friendly as they jogged past or pushed their little ones in their strollers. Couldn't have asked for a better location. Anything you could possibly want is within a short walk. And, a personal favorite, I must add is the "Hey Cupcake" wagon a couple of blocks up. The owners are sweet and accomodating. We had a small wrinkle in our vacation(self-inflicted unfortunately). I emailed the owners at midnight for a request and less than 10 minutes later I had received a response. This was just what we needed before we met up with tons of family. A chance to take in the sights during the day and slow down and put our feet up in the evening. Can't wait to return next year! Thanks so much for a fabulous stay here at the Red House. After a long google search, your house stood out among the crowd. It was so charming, comfortable, and inviting. The spider mums were a delightful touch and your ipod was put to good use - love the variety (great taste!). We will definitely recommend the Red House to friends and family.
