This is a beautiful island get away within 20-25 minutes from Charleston.
Quietly nested in the marsh this home sits on just over 2.2 acres and is rustic with many modern touches. You have unobstructed expansive marsh/river views and unbelievable sunsets. The dock and floating dock provide access to the Leadenwah River and on out to the ocean.
Bring your boat, kayak, canoe, sailboat and any other water equipment you wish. If it is no more than 19-21 feet you can keep at the dock and time the tides to come in and out.. If you have a john boat for fishing, kayak/canoe or jetski come in and out all day long. Fish away and crab until your heart desires.
We have plenty of blue crabs to feed the family. Jump in off the dock and swim the river.. We love to!
Enjoy the new saline pool only a few years old. We have a tree house for the youngsters, adult supervision please. Tree swings by the river edge, walk down the dirt road, or just kick back on the screened in porch under the ceiling fan for a puzzle.
If the nights are cool you can have a fire in the large fire place.

- Waterfront, not Lake/Oceanfront. Ask for details: Beautiful marsh and river setting. Swing on the swing under the oaks or just sit on the dock and enjoy the wildlife. If you like blue crabs then crab off the dock and feed the family!! We do all the time..Don't hesitate to take a swim!

- Beach goers Kiawah Island has a public beach not too far, or bring your boat put in at Cherry Point Boat Landing & head out to a private beach. Time the tide right & bring your boat 19-21ft back to our dock. Kayak, canoe, fish, sail, crab, swim, tub or boat right off our dock down the Leadenwah. Drive or just walk down the dirt road of the village of Rockville. A must see tiny community, feel you have just stepped back into time while the live oaks drape down and envelop you. In the mood for fresh shrimp or the catch of the day? East Coast or Cherry Point Boat Landing docks can help. Ready for a glass of wine? Head over to the Irvin House Vineyard for a wine tasting www.charlestonwine.com. Also, the nations only working tea plantation is on the island, tours are offered. Ambrose Family Farm has u-pick organic veggies and fruits. Angel Oak Tree is a must see an ancient MAMMOTH beauty!
