The house and surroundings were awesome!!. The views are incredible. A great place for the kids as well, there was plenty of stuff to occupy them in the evenings. It was a perfect launching point for our many trips into Glacier National Park. Very comfortable and spacious home. Huckleberries were growing all over the property and we made some great huckleberry pancakes. The owners are very attentive and responsive. They were very helpful with our trip planning as well and gave recommendations for local sights, activities, restaurants, etc... I would highly recommend this house for those planning trips to the Glacier area!Recommended for: Families with teenagers, sightseeing, age 55+, families with young children, adventure seekers.

Thank you so much for such an amazing stay!! Your home was so comfortable and well equipped. Anything we needed was there and it was so well organized. The views were spectacular and they were so mesmorizing it was hard to pull my husband away - but when we did we enjoyed the surrounding areas too! Kalispell, Whitefish and of course Glacier - everything was right there!! I was almost grateful for the one rainy day so we could stay in. We had such fun playing board games, the piano, guitar and just enjoy the changing views that happened outside the window - we will definately be back and make this one of our routine destinations!Recommended for: Families with teenagers, sightseeing, romantic getaway, age 55+, families with young children, girls getaway, adventure seekers.

Your house is so lovely and perfect for our stay. We have enjoyed your hospitality - the warm and smiling touches that you prepared - the huckleberry jam, the children's toys, a piano and guitar - and your trusting spirit. Your house is truly a family home which welcomes.Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 0/0

The setting and the structure of this lodge are amazing!! We drove for a long time to get there but were thrilled with what we found. The view is spectacular, too! The owners were very accomodating in making us feel welcome with milk, wine, cereal and other items to get us started. Our grandchildren(twin girls)loved the swing set, trampoline and the bounty of toys in the cabin. Our son-in-law plays guitar and was happy to have one to strum while sitting in the comfy rockers overlooking the mountains of Glacier. They all enjoyed the basketball court, too! We had everything we needed to have a fun ,family time there. The only thing that surprised us was how lived-in the cabin was. The owners have clothes packed in every closet and hanging around and the decorating-bedding-furnishings are very worn and outdated. Other than that we would give this VRBO a very positive rating! It is a spectacular log lodge!Recommended for: Families with teenagers, families with young children, adventure seekers.
Owner response: We appreciate the very positive review as well as the comment about the closets. We have since relocated all clothing in closets to the lower level which is not used by guests. We do look forward to replacing certain furniture pieces as business increases. This is the type of feedback that helps us improve our services to guests!

Many thanks for so much warmth and hearth. Our family saw bears, bighorn sheep, mountain goats, gorgeous flowers, and icebergs! Never seen so much in a short time! About the owner: We are the Smith Family and are the proud owners of Cannonview Lodge near Glacier National Park, Montana. Stephen and Jodi Smith met each other while working at Swiftcurrent Motor Inn in Glacier National Park and it was their longtime dream to design and contruct Cannonview Lodge as close to the Park as possible. We know your stay here will be enjoyable whether you are a first time visitor of a returning regular.
Why the Owner Chose West Glacier:
Glacier, Glacier, Glacier! Cannonview Lodge was inspired by the historic lodges found in Glacier National Park. Approximately 3 miles from the Park boundary, the property shares the ecosystem of Glacier National Park and often wildlife may be viewed from or near the property.
The Unique Benefits at this Lodge:
Unique views of Glacier National Park, arguably the best in the area! Ever heard of the Highline Trail that is carved into the Continental Divide? You can see this and dozens of Glacier Park peaks from the living room of Cannonview Lodge.
