After perfect directions of Kristine we walked in the cottage and where already in love in the lovely garden and location. Then we enter and loved all the personal details of the owners. For us the perfect place to stay! Everything was there and more...we felt very welcomed and everything was super! Lourmarin is an excellent base to explore the Provence and more like Casis *beach, and perfect to come home and enjoy the cafes for aperatif. All very lovely people. I will recomend the cottage to everybody. Thanks again for the very enjoyable stay!

We have had a very enjoyable week at maison Amelie..The house is very well situated in the village, a couple of minutes from cafés and shops. We highly appreciated the fully equipped kitchen to cook our tasty meals as well as the comfort of the spacious bedroom. We have felt very welcome everywhere in the village but especially in your home. Kristine, we want to thank you for all your suggestions regarding sightseeing and restaurants..We will count the days to return to Maison Amelie next year..!!

we are so happy to have found this adorable house in Lourmarin...From the moment we walked in we fell in Love with the place and the village. Shopping in the markets, canoeing in the sorgue and hiking in les beaux was a great experience..Having Breakfast every morning (with delicious pains of chocolat from the boulangerie) & reading the paper in your lovely garden was one of our magical moments at the house. Your home was very comfortable and we loved returning every evening to cook wonderful provencal dinners. Maison Amelie will stay in our heart and we hope to be back very soon.

Perfection in Lourmarin

Myself and my fiancee stayed in this beautiful little house for a week in October. It is located near the centre of the village and just a stones throw from the bakery (I am like a kid in a sweet shop every time I go!) The house itself is finished to a very high standard with everything you could need including wifi which was fantastic. It is full of charm and we instantly felt at home there. We met the owner when we arrived and she is very friendly. She has loads of local knowledge and all her advice on where was best to dine was spot on. The Mistral was blowing when we were there so we did not get a chance to take advantage of the lovely garden, however we have already booked our return visit for next June when no doubt there will be plenty of sunshine.

A most enjoyable stay in Lourmarin

Our 2 weeks in La Maison was a delightful experience. It is a fantastic location & base from which we were able to visit and explore many villages in the luberon area and beyond. Our favorite start of the day is a visit to Lourmarin's boulangerie , only steps away from the cottage. Going to the markets is another favorite thing to do, especially our own village's on Fridays, besides having an coffee or lunch at one of the many outdoor cafes in Lourmarin. Kristine has been exceedingly gracious and helpful during our stay. We enjoyed our stay. Thank you for everything, Kristine!

We have stayed at La Maison d'Amelie twice and will be returning for another month later this year. We love the house and the village of Lourmarin. La Maison has everything needed to really feel at home. All we bring is our clothes. There are several good restaurants in Lourmarin, as well as three cafes in the center of the village, which just a few blocks from the house. There are also many art galeries and interesting shops. The Friday market in Lourmarin is one of the best in Provence. We love the Luberon region and Lourmarin is the perfect base from which to explore it. The owners, Kristine and Thierry, are warm and friendly and quick to respond if we have any questions. We love the place and plan to return for at least a month every year.

This cottage is truly a delight - and right in the center of Lourmarin, one of the most beautiful villages in Provence. The area of the Luberon, in which it is situated, is one of the most picturesque in all of the world. Lourmarin is an ideal place to have either an active or restful vacation and this cottage allows for both. I have stayed here a few times and the hostess, Kristine, is a delight - a French native who speaks perfect English. She has restored and decorated this charming cottage tastefully and practically. One can cook delicious meals in the kitchen and eat in the garden patio - or make the most of the restaurants just a few steps away. The beds are very comfortable. There are some well selected CDs for your musical pleasure. It is a treat just to sit in the lovely living area, listen to music and drink some of the local wine. The bathroom has a large walk-in shower and is amply supplied with fluffy towels. You can easily reach the cottage by bus or if you have a vehicle, there is plenty of parking available on the street. Kristine is more than happy to answer any of your questions and is always ready to give you suggestions on where to dine, what to do or how to enjoy la vie de Provence!
