Santiago-St. James is a modern, fresh, roomy tropical-cottage style studio apartment consisting of a sizable, air-conditioned single bedroom with an en-suite bathroom and an open-plan living room-kitchen. Its crisp design extends into a covered lanai at its east-facing front attached to an open-air deck for private sun-worshipping . . and a sheltered car-park which connects directly to a cheerful French-window front door. There are Security bars throughout, but the neighbourhood is very safe with Holetown Police Station not far away.
Located perfectly away from the sand-flies but less than 300 yards from one of the most outrageously gorgeous beaches in the Caribbean and within three minutes’ stroll to shopping plazas, post office, church, library, banks, restaurants, coffee shops, photoshops, boutiques, salons and supermarkets and entertainment . . Santiago-St. James is also only 60 paces from a bus stop that will connect you to almost every corner of this beautiful Barbados.
The tropical Tradewinds keep the climate here between 24° and 30° Celsius, and the occasional rain shower is past as fast as it has swept in.
We can't forget to mention how cheerful, friendly and helpful the whole neighbourhood is. You'll be a "Bajan" in no time !!

The gateway entrance to Jamestown Park is on Highway 1 directly across from Discovery Bay Hotel. Follow the main street straight into the residential area. Santiago-St James is the second house on the right at the point where the main Jamestown Park street makes a slight curve.
You will see a number 51 on the postbox pillar. Your hosts, Margaret and Lee Farnum-Badley live next door and will meet you with your keys.
Margaret is a decorating consultant and Lee is a tutor at the University of the West Indies. We are always at your disposal during your stay to answer any queries or provide expert assistance in making your holiday in Barbados thoroughly enjoyable. We'll be honoured to be your hosts and next-door neighbours: Margaret is an accomplished event decorator who loves entertaining and is a font of information about life in Holetown. She was born in British Guiana but has lived in Barbados all of her beautiful years. The goofy old man next to her is husband and loyal servant Lee, a retired diplomat who now tutors International Management at the University of the West Indies, his pastimes are games of strategy and golf. He was born in Venezuela but his ancestry is Barbadian (Pie Corner, St Lucy . . previously known as "Pirate Corner"). Mags and Lee both love Caribbean cruising and hosting friends. Their three grown children live in the London and Washington DC and the youngest is a professional Sports Journalist in Barbados. They're always happy to make new acquaintaces, and look forward to counting you among the many guests from across the world who have become close friends of Barbados . . . and the Badleys !!!
Why the Owner Chose Holetown
We added Santiago to our existing property as a "granny cottage" where we will probably make our "escape" someday when we will be glad to find somewhere warm, peaceful and homey during the winter if we are spending the summers with our children overseas. Who knows? For the time being we love th opportunity to host interesting people in a fabulous setting for relaxed living because it is incredibly close to all sorts of amenities. You'll see for yourself !! See on Google map for the area of Holetown - Jamestown Park is across the sreet from Discovery Bay hotel, and Santiago is the second house on the right along the main Jamestown Park drive. You won't be lost !!!
The Unique Benefits of this Studio
Jamestown Park is a tranquil residential community adjoining a recreation ground where you'll "live like a local", but enjoy some of the finest tourism facilities that Barbdos has to offer . . . a stone's throw away. You might wish to rent a car for a few days for excursions around the island, but at Santiago-St.James you'll be practically "in the town". Then, there is a bus service running past the area that make access to wider forays very easy and inexpensive and truly a cultural adventure.
