This beautifully decorated beach condo WITH POOL! and just steps away from the sand, has been a lovingly cared for second home since 2000. We have spent many lazy days on the beach, building sand castles and riding the waves. Surf lessons are offered at the surf school on the next street. We have appreciated the proximity to the beach, not having to worry about the kids going back and forth. The lifeguard is stationed at our beach access. And, we have no coolers to lug or bathrooms to find. When we tire of the sand, we head to the private pool for a refreshing splash. In the evenings, we have hosted cocktail parties on the beach as we watched the sun go down while the kids turned cartwheels in the sand. The streets are not heavily trafficed except for the bikers and the joggers. It is a quiet, relaxed atmosphere. For the adults, restaurants and shopping are within walking distance. North Ocean City is merely blocks away just south of Rt 54. Fenwick is just across the state line. It takes 5 min to get to Bethany, and Rehobeth is a short drive. Two new supermarkets are 5 min by car along Rt 54. We have watched our kids grow from grade school to mature teens who can now take the bus into OC. Now, there is time for hanging out on the deck in the quiet of the morning, enjoying the gentle breeze. A patio outside of the 1st floor bedroom, is enclosed by a privacy fence and lofty pines. A picturesque garden makes for a delightful view while sitting back in the adirondacks, sipping a margarita or reading a book. Activities abound for the young and the "mature." When the day is done, lie back in the MBR, open the sliding glass door, and listen to the waves.

The listing was very accurate - a beautiful, very clean condo across the street from the beach, a pool, two ice-cream stores within walking distance - highly recommend! The owner was very helpful, answered all questions; security deposit was sent back within 2 days.
Recommended for:Sightseeing, tourists without a car, families with teenagers, families with young children.
