This 4 season Lake Home on the shores of beautiful Delavan Lake offers you a peaceful and quiet getaway any time of the year. Nestled off of North Shore drive in an area of 100 Year Old Oaks, this completely remodeled Victorian Single Family Home is one of the earliest homes on Delavan Lake.
The home features a huge wrap around porch completely surrounded by floor to ceiling glass sliding patio doors that offers both open air breezes from the lake front and enclosed comfort for the evenings and cooler days. The porch area has two ceiling fans to offer additional breezy comfort during those warm summer days on the water. A full size futon provides comfortable seating in the open air of the enclosed porch. On the other side of the porch is a dining set to enjoy meals while also enjoying views of the boats on the lake or to keep a watchful eye on the children playing in the front lawn. Subtle lighting provides an relaxing mood when the sun goes down and the time is right to enjoy conversation and drinks with the neighbors in the area who often enjoy the lake front around a blazing fire pit. You can also enjoy your very own fire with the provided front yard fire pit, where you can hear the water rushing onto the shore.
You will enter the home through double doors and inside you will find an open ceiling concept with natural pine wood floors. Featured is a vintage masonry fireplace with a recently installed brand new electronic start gas log set and large comfy couch. Easy to start and great to enjoy, even from the front porch. The front Living Room is open to the Dining area and the newly remodeled Kitchen. All appliances in the kitchen are stainless steel and brand new. Enjoy making dinner on the marble counter tops while enjoying a view of the lake. You can also cook on the provided gas grill in the back yard. The dining room features a new solid wood table that seats up to 8 people. Connecting through both the Living Room and the Kitchen stairwell is a Den that also features a full bathroom with Shower. You can enjoy a movie on the Flat Screen TV and then have sleeping quarters for an additional guest as the room has two closing doors.
Upstairs you will find the same natural Pine Plank floors with one bedroom equipped with a Bunk bed that sleeps one on the top and two on the full size mattress at the bottom. The room has a full size closet and a TV. The second bedroom is huge and has views of the lake and features beautiful antique furniture and a brand new giant high quality Pillow Top King Size bed. You can relax, read a book under the ceiling fan and open a window to enjoy the lake air and pleasant lake views. This bedroom also has a beautiful wood adjustable crib with mattress.
Down a short hallway is the Master Bedroom which has a full closet and features a double patio door which leads to a roof deck with unobstructed views of the lake. The Master includes a plush pillow top Queen size mattress and new Frank Lloyd Wright inspired Prairie Furniture and antique desk. The views from this room are spectacular and you will sleep with the breeze from the lake coming through the screened double patio doors.
The Second floor has a full bath with new fixtures and a tub/shower. The Hallway is tastefully decorated and recently painted and features brass antique sconces. A huge Hall closet contains extra linens and towels and has enough extra room for guest storage of personal items.
You will be comfortable year round with gas heat/central air conditioning and whole house water softener. You also will enjoy the unique quiet surroundings of the neighborhood as there are no cars or boats on the adjacent properties to awaken you in the middle of the night. Assigned parking is available a short distance across the street in a designated parking lot.
We can also arrange through the Lake Delavan Marina, which is just a one minute lakeside walk from our home, for "in and out" service for your boat at a very reasonable additional cost - just let us know the size of your boat and we can provide you the exact cost. They also have pontoon boats for rent - just let us know of your interest and we will take it from there! A Boat Launch is also available at nearby Lake Lawn Resort or the Delavan Lake Public Boat launch. Boating or Personal Watercraft drop-offs can be made there.Please note that boat docking & drop offs are not allowed on any of the adjacent private boat docks.
This property is located in a close community of other lake homes and House Parties are not allowed. This is the perfect Lake House for your leisure getaway and lake enjoyment. If you are planning a party or bringing more guests to the house other than those who will be sleeping there, we strongly recommend that you choose another location better suited to your requirements. You are welcome to bring in up to four "day" guests or family members with advance approval. NO SMOKING OR PETS ARE ALLOWED.
You can also enjoy all the activities available in nearby Lake Geneva which is a short 15 minute drive.

Why the Owner Chose Delavan Lake
My wife and I fell in love with this charming Victorian lake home and purchased it as our 'get-away" home from Chicago. We love the stunning views, especially the sunrises over the lake. We also love the "step-back-in-time" ambiance that you feel the moment you walk inside. No matter what the season, Lake Delavan is simply gorgeous. Plus, we can have those wonderful Wisconsin Friday Night fish fries!
The Unique Benefits at this House
We love to watch the sunrise from our porch. Equally satisfying is having a glass of wine on the porch in the evening while listening to the gentle waves on the shoreline. Taking a walk on the lake shore path is a another great way to see the beautiful homes and have a wonderful view of the lake.
Nice lake pub that has pool tables, food and occassional live entertainment
This is where the parking lot for our home is located. We have two private assigned spaces and free first come first served use of the first 8 spaces in the lot.
Local Marina for sail boats. Look for the sail boats on the lake on Sunday mornings.
This is a nice small restaurant that has a Fish Fry on Fridays, A bar is attached with TV's to watch games. Food is excellent. Reservations are recommended.
Jsut a short distance from the front door is our swim pier. Its about 8 steps down to the water level and the swim platform is about 20 feet from the end of the pier. Fun !
The lakefront has a sidewalk that the neighbors are allowed to use. You can walk from the Lake House (A) all the way to the Yacht Club (E)
The Lakefront sidewalk also proceeds south of the Marina until it ends a few blocks later. It's a nice quiet walk with beautiful homes and views. You may even find a celebrity on this portion of the w

My wife and I love to camp in our RV and while we were camping at nearby Lake Geneva, we took a 13 mile bike ride around Lake Delavan. We found ourselves so enamored with Lake Delavan that we started looking at homes to purchase. And, as they say, the rest is history!

We enjoyed rental of this lovely cottage style home. It was very nicely decorated, just like the pic's - and very clean. It was incredibly wellinsulated for the coldest winter temp's too (it was upper teens when we were there). Nice and warm inside, while frigid outside! All rooms are as described and pictured. Our 6 feet tall, 16 yr old son enjoyed sleeping on the sofa in the downstairs den, having his own space. The sofa was easily large enough for this. Also, our 11 year old daughter and her 14 year old cousin enjoyed the bunk room and loved having their own TV and a space to themselves. My mother-in-law loved the queen bedroom , and my husband and I were comfy cozy in the king bedroom. There was snow on the ground, so we didn't use the outdoor porch, but would be wonderful in the summer!The kids enjoyed hanging out in the den with the big TV, and the adults enjoyed visiting in the "parlor room" in front of the fireplace. For fun, the ladies had an afternoon shopping trip into Lake Geneva. Also we went to the Dancing Horses show and their bird show nearby which the kids enjoyed. The kids had fun sledding down the hill in the town of Lake Geneva, where they turn the lights on the slope at 4pm. There is a Walmart, Kohls, Panera, Culvers restaurant and more about 2 miles away for shopping for anything you need. Joe was great to work with, we highly recommend this home to others.

There is so much to see and do in the immediate area, even in the winter time - you really took full advantage of both Delavan and Lake Geneva! Sometimes when you see pictures of a vacation property online, it's never as nice once you get there. That was not the case with Joe and Bea's beautiful lake home! It was absolutely charming and comfortable the minute we walked in. Their home oozes with character and is tastefully decorated throughout. The place was so relaxing we stayed in for dinner, utilized the well-stocked kitchen and laughed about old times while we chatted by the fireplace. We enjoyed our stay so much that we are already talking about next year! I hope to share this great place with my mom in the future as well. Thank you so much for opening your home to us! We spent a well deserved weekend away from the city with our new babies and friends and family. It was exactly what we were looking for. The perfect mix of fun and relaxation. The home was wonderfully comfortable and we enjoyed discovering Delavan as well. While it was great to sit around the gas fire place and cuddle up in the luxurious bedding, we would love to experience this place again in the summer with the porch wide open and the lake at our toes. We hope to visit again soon! What a great hidden treasure! I can't say enough about it all!

I love waking up and looking out at the sun rising over the lake and then taking a sunrise walk on the lakefront sidewalk which is next to our home. It is amazingly quiet and peaceful. The relaxed atmosphere is perfect for family get togethers and the fireplace adds to that feeling.

From the front walk and entrance to the bedrooms, this home is exactly as the pictures show it to be. To stay in this beautiful home is like being at a Bed and Breakfast (without the owner). The beds were comfortable, the view of the lake is gorgeous and our family has a fantastic memory of our week-end shared at the Rockford cottage. Remember to bring a flashlight because it does get dark outside. I can't wait to return.
