Long Beach studio description
Get away from it all at Ocean Breeze!
Discover the laid back lifestyle of Long Beach and the Peninsula! Ocean Breeze is a beautifully furnished 3rd floor ocean view studio near the Arch in Long Beach. Ocean Breeze has a great view of the ocean for watching sunsets or winter storms. The adjacent beach approach is a hub of activity year-round – fireworks for Independence Day and New Year’s Eve as well as all the colors of the Kite Festival in August.
Ocean Breeze has many great features! Although its a studio, the furniture arrangement creates a sitting area with a Euro-lounger, coffee table and bar table with 2 chairs adjacent to the king size bed. The kitchen is compact but well-equipped with fridge, microwave, 2-burner stove, coffee maker and toaster. Dishes, utensils, pots, pans and flatware are all provided, as well as linens, towels and soap. The bathroom has a well-lit vanity with marble top, toilet and walk-in shower. Coin-op laundry is available on the same floor. For your evenings, Ocean Breeze offers an HDTV with cable, Blu-Ray/DVD -- or watch the changing colors of the sunset from your own balcony with sweeping views of the dunes and the beach.
Take time to explore all of the Long Beach Peninsula – all 26 plus miles of it. Long Beach has carnival rides, miniature golf and arcades for the kids. Check out Marsh’s Free Museum with its historical collection – and take a look at their great selection of gifts and souvenirs. There’s lot’s of shopping and restaurants in downtown Long Beach. Or take a horseback ride on the beach!
Just south of Long Beach are Ilwaco and Cape Disappointment, as well as Waikiki Beach and the North Head lighthouse. There are some great art galleries at the Port of Ilwaco, and during the summer months there’s Saturday Market too, with a variety of local arts and crafts, foods, flowers and plants for sale. Ilwaco also has its own fireworks in July. The Port also features some fine restaurants with local seafood offerings created by our great chefs. Or take a charter trip for salmon, halibut, tuna or sturgeon.
Visit the Cranberry Museum on Cranberry Road and learn about how cranberries are grown and harvested before they end up on your Thanksgiving table. Or visit Jack’s Country Store in Ocean Park to see this historic yet current meeting place. In Nahcotta you can buy fresh oysters and enjoy the wonderful views of Willapa Bay. On the extreme north end of the Peninsula, the place to see is Ledbetter Point State Park -- it’s a wonderful place for hiking to the beach or to the bay.
Ocean Breeze sleeps up to 4 people total with the king bed and Euro-lounger. For your comfort, no smoking and no pets please. Ocean Breeze is a jewel box is just waiting for you to come and enjoy!
A guest who stayed in January had this to say: 'My husband and I stayed at this apartment for two nights and enjoyed the experience! Very clean, with classy decor, and an ocean view from the balcony. Perfect if you're looking for a quiet beachside get away for 2. The king bed was comfortable and we slept well - a first for me as I am picky about mattresses. Hard wood floors are beautiful- bring slippers so your feet stay warm. Really feels like home here!'

I would agree with previous reviewers. I chose this unit for my husband and myself based on the good reviews and photos. We do have some suggestions that would make it an even better place to stay. We are both tall and 55+. We would recommend removing the shelf unit that fits over the toilet. It sticks out too far from the wall. When using the toilet, it is likely you will bump up against the shelf. The shelf just has a candle and unopened package of potpourri. Maybe a floating Ikea shelf or two would work better? I expected the owner would provide travel sizes of bath soap, shampoo and conditioner. I think these should be provided or state in the property description that these are not provided. I would suggest grab bars by the toilet and in the shower. Tall people will not find the sofa and sofa table comfortable. The sofa seats very low and the table is very low to the floor. We had to move it closer to the sofa to clear a better path between the bed and bathroom. I was afraid I would trip over it. The DVD collection was not to my taste. I had seen the few good films and the rest were not worth seeing. It would be nice if the stove worked and was not just there for decoration. We used the Wi-Fi in the room but discovered there was a problem making phone calls with our IPhones. My husband spent a half hour with Apple customer service to find out why our calls were being blocked by US Cellular. There was an extension plug in the room for charging your phones or camera. The only other thing to mention was an odor inside the condo building as you enter the front door. I don't know if it was leftover from cleaning or a room deodorizer. It was not in the unit itself. We ate at Jimella's Cafe in Klipsan Beach. The food was very good as could be expected because the owners operated the Ark restaurant in Nahcotta for many years. We also ate breakfast at Anita's Cafe. The food was ok but not especially inventive. We would definitely recommend this place to others and we hope to return next year. I would also recommend Leadbetter Point Park and Wildlife Refuge. We'd like to come back to see the birds as they gather in April for feeding.

Compact and cozy with a wonderful view of sunsets! Just enough room on the deck for 4 people and their adult beverages to watch the sun sink below the horizon. Fabulous location and quiet neighbors make this a place I'll return to again and again.

Manager response: We look forward to your return, thanks for your kind remarks!
The location of this unit couldn't be better. On the beach and right in town. It doesn't get any better. Access to boardwalk and discovery trail are directly west of building. For a studio, the unit is roomy. Perfectly furnished

Manager response: Thanks for your great comments regarding our place, it makes it really worthwhile to hear such appreciation of it. Our hope is you'll come back frequently!
I loved the room I had - everything was perfect. If there was a way to duplicate it in my own home I would! The comforter set was exquisite and I wanted to take it home, but I was able to resist. The management team was fabulous - the DirecTV was misbehaving and they worked for two days trying to get it working for me - until they got it and I was able to watch the Sounders game on Saturday night, which was perfect because it was the only thing I really cared about watching on TV! I will be discussing a vacation in the future with my husband and we'll be putting your place at the top of our list! Thansk for a great stay!
