Our cozy cottage has an unobstructed view of the beach and ocean. There is a large deck with table and chairs for reading and sunbathing while watching the world go by. We recently renovated and updated with a new tile floor and new shower enclosure. Our furnishings are upscale and kid friendly. We find that even very small children are able to play right on the beach protected from the wind in our private roped-off beach lot area.
The house is very well equipped with a BBQ on the deck and all the things that you need to cook up a relaxing meal in the compact kitchen. Additionally, we have a Gourmet Grill and Panini Sandwich maker. Parents can sit on the deck and watch their children play on the beach.
Walking to town is one of the pleasures of our location. Stinson Beach can be sunny while the rest of the Coast is "fogged in" as we have a wonderful micro-climate. The Pacific is really cold for swimming and the surfers - who you can watch from the house- almost always wear wetsuits. Boogie boarding is a favorite sport and many intrepid surfers have gotten their start Boogie Boarding at Stinson Beach. Boogie Boards and wetsuits are available for rent in town.
The town is charming with cute restaurants and a children's playground with slides and swings. When you're ready for a hike there are fabulous hiking trails within 5 minutes of the house. One of the most famous is the Dipsea Trail which is a wondrous walk beside a running creek, beneath giant redwoods culminating in a 10 foot ladder climb - really breathtaking. Great beach-combing and shell collecting possibilities abound on the beach.

Since 1970 our house has been through many renovations and repairs - including some winter storm damage- yet it remains a refuge from the real world for all who come and stay. Owner is close by and available to answer questions or help to plan your outings. West Marin is such a special place and there's so much to do here , we feel very blessed to be able to share this amazing place.
The Unique Benefits at this Cottage
There's a Pilates drop in class in town, wonderful Farmers' markets and so much to do in West Marin that its sometimes hard to choose. If you want to explore or stay-put and enjoy the ocean and the beach its an ever changing scene.There are amazing mountain hikes and bicycle rides and perfect bird watching locations.Three great restaurants in town and several well known chefs in Pt Reyes Station 20 mins away- a very scenic drive up the coast road. Stinson Beach town is very quaint and hasn't changed much since the 1960's. There is a library in town where you can see photos of the town dating back to the 1890's. We are surrounded by the GGNRA so there are miles of trails and excellent hiking within esy reach.

The owner lives next door and is available should you have any problems or questions. We welcome each guest as a friend and whether you elect to play in the sun, enjoy boogie boarding, hike mountain trails or just be alone this house has what you need.
Decorations are European in style and the furniture is kid friendly and very comfortable with designer touches everywhere.This is comfortable ocean front living at its best with modern amenities where you can have a fun day, a restful evening and a sound night's sleep.Because our calendar is sometimes not up to date we always respond promptly to your email requests and can also be reached via cell phone.

We stayed 3nights/3days and loved it. Two adults and 3 young kids fit just fine. Loved the roped-off beach area just in front of the house. Enjoyed walking on the beach during the day. Also spent some time in Mt. Tamalpais S.P. (short drive). The large windows in the living room and bedroom overlooking the water are very nice, and it was nice to leave the windows open and listen to the ocean all night. Walk along the beach to Parkside Cafe for great breakfast. Drive from SFO airport took about 1-hr. Selection at the Stinson Beach Market is not great and prices are quite high. Recommend stopping at the Safeway in Strawberry where Hwy 1 comes off Hwy 101.
Recommended for:Adventure seekers, romantic getaway, families with young children.

My family and I had a terrific experience at Angela's cottage. The house is literally right on the beach, and there is a private beach area in front that actually allows for protection from the wind. I was sitting on the deck with a swimsuit on and then needed a long-sleeved cover-up while at the water. The house is small, but very nicely arranged with all the amenities you could need. Angela, the owner, was so nice and easy to communicate with via email and answered all my questions accuately and timely. My kids spent hours in the water after renting wetsuits in town, which was a very easy and nice walk from the house. I would absolutely recommend this house to any small parties that want a little piece of Stinson all to themselves. Very relaxing!
