8,500 square foot home on 45 acres, overlooking a beautiful private lake, ringed by the North Georgia mountains. Just take a look at the pictures and you may decide to look no further.
Located 1 hour north of Atlanta. This beautiful home sits in the middle of thousands acres of timber land and National Forests... you will have no neighbors. The 150 ft wrap around deck affords a view that must be seen to be appreciated.
The perfect setting for large groups of friends, family gatherings, wedding parties or corporate getaways. The house is conveniently divided in order to allow privacy amongst our guests. There are two stairways leading to separate upstairs areas. The master suite is on the main floor along with an additional bedroom, the living room and beautiful dinning room. The game room with pool table, dart board, ping pong table foosball, pinball, card and gaming tables, along with the home theater room are on the lower level and exit's onto the pool deck. On the main level five separate exits lead to the wrap around deck which overlooks the pool to the side of the house and the mountains to the rear. From this deck take either of the two stairways to the pool deck or continue down the 127 steps leading to the lake and the floating dock where you will find a canoe, a john boat as well as a peddle boat. If you like to fish you've come to the right place, bass, trout and bream swim in abundance in the 14 acre lake. If you don't feel like heading down to the lake stay up top and enjoy the seven person hot tub, a 20' x 40' swimming pool with stone deck. A dozen lounge chairs and outdoor sound system make relaxing easy. A huge kitchen, surrounded by windows with a large dining table and a large stone fireplace serves as a great gathering place. All this makes it possible to spend time enjoying friends and family while still being able to find your own private space to read, relax, boat, swim,or watch movies and sports on TV.
If you need a sixth bedroom, there is an optional "mother-in-law" suite on the lower level which can sleep 6-8 and has a kitchen with full bath.
If you want to do a little exploring by car there is plenty to see in the area. The historic town of Dahlonega is 15 minutes away and Ellijay is 25 minutes away. The entrance to Amicalola Falls State Park is less than a 10 minute drive. Hiking trails and horseback riding opportunities abound. The Kangaroo Conservation Center, with the largest concentration of kangaroos outside of Australia is just down the road and the Chestatee Wildlife Preserve, home to tigers, bears, camels, monkeys and more, is located on Old Dahlonega Highway (SR 115) in Dahlonega. The Premium Outlet Malls are 20 minutes away in Dawsonville. And don't forget to ask about the Funky Chicken Art Project, you will not find another "art gallery" quite like it!
But if you want to just spend time away from it all this is the place, sit on the deck overlooking the lake and watch the sun set behind the mountains, canoe or fish, walk wooded trails or sit by the pool and cook on the grill. You'll never want to leave.

Our family had a wonderful time at our visit to your home. We spent alot of time hanging out in the kitchen preparing meals together and sharing around the table. The game room was a big hit with the kids old and young. The view was spectacular as we just hung out on the huge wrap around porch. We are already planning our return trip next year. Truly everything about this place was exceptional.

This is a really remarkable property. The pictures don't do the view justice. From the back porch, you have a sweeping panorama of a private lake and the mountains in the background. The pool is fantastic, complete with outdoor speakers all around. Guests have utter privacy, as there is not another house in sight. The property manager, Edwin, was extremely helpful and welcoming. He was quite responsive and clearly takes very good care of this amazing place. I highly recommend a stay here for you and your friends.

This is the 4th year we have thoroughly enjoyed our visit to this beautiful home in the North Georgia mountains. The house is large enough to allow for privacy with plenty of rooms, beds and bathrooms. The kitchen area and wrap around porch are spacious and a great place to hang out together. The pool is big enough for floats and has ample lounge seating. The location is great...only an hour North of Atlanta and less than 15 minutes from Dahlonega and Amicalola Falls. This home has everything we need and wonderful, scenic views. I highly recommend the space for anyone wanting to escape the big city.

We were happy with the roominess, privacy, and amenities. Besides the fishing and pool we brought the kids bikes and enjoyed the long driveway and paved parking area. We saw a bear cross the road about 2 miles away from the entrance. The kitchen and dining areas provide for many people. I don't recall any item we lacked for a wonderful week long vacation. We are returning in 2011!

I rented this estate for my family to stay in on the weekend of my daughters wedding in Dahlonega. We were there for 4 days, and I so wished we could have stayed the whole week. It is beautiful, and everything the rental promised. It was clean, well maintained, well stocked, with lots of fun things to do, and yet very comfortable to house our family of 10. I would certainly recommed it to anyone who is looking for a family retreat, or to host a special event, and my family will certainly use this home again in the future.

Our family reunion was the best ever! Lots of room for everyone, something for everyone to do, pool, hot tub, game room, lots of tvs, internet, fishing, grilling, etc. My brother said it was the best lake he has fished in for a while, anyone can catch a fish, expert or novice. Saw deer, fox, turkeys, birds and of course, the resident goat. Thanks to Edwin.

We loved our stay! Plenty of room for lots of adults and children. We had 12 adults (each couple took a bedroom) and the kids crashed in the game room. Everyone had a great time. The pool was wonderful and you can't beat the privacy and views. Edwin was really helpful. We will be back!

we had a wonderful family reunion at this very comfortable spacious house. We ranged in age from 2 years to 80+ years and all had fun things to do! The swimming pool was very popular and had lots "toys" for everyone. The deck- with lots of comfortable chairs and a beautiful view -was a moving feast for breakfast. Cereal with peaches (from the "Tomotoe House" ) were the mainstay. It was always great in the evening and good place to be on starry nights. We did the canoe and kayak trip one day and a day at the Amicola Falls in the Park. Many good meals were cooked in the kitchen and Edwin was always helpful, and we loved hearing all the tales he would tell us of this beautiful and interesting part of Georgia.

Had a wonderful Valentines Weekend at this outstanding resort home. We have been using VRBO for the past 4 years for all our vacation rentals. We have vacationed in the U.S. with VRBO as well as in London and Amsterdam and I can truly say this is the best one we have found yet. It was truly a jewel for North Georgia. The home is very private and has the most breathtaking views, waking up to snow covered mountains and ducks swimming on your own private lake. We saw wild turkey, deer and a pet goat on the property, our dogs were in heaven. The game room downstairs will keep you and your children occupied for hours. The location is a pleasant surprise, we visited the Kangaroo Conservatory, (,book tickets on line and just go) , the Funky chicken art shop (only 10 min. away, got some great stuff here, the owner has peacocks roaming about in the shop) and the town of Dahlonega ( name means yellow gold,) is a quaint artsy like place with good restaurants and shops and was home to the first gold rush. The Crimson Moon resturant was especially tasty and has live entertainment. We had such a wonderful time that we have already booked this house again in the summer so we can enjoy the pool, that by the way has a surround sound system to die for. The hot tub was soothing and we enjoyed listening to music on that outdoor sound system, classic rock never sounded so good. Be prepared the hot tube also has a light show a glass of wine works well here. You will not be disappointed.Thank you Edwin for answering all our questions and coming over to check on us. This place is truly a slice of Georgia Heaven. The Tony and Rose Anderson Family

Hello Edwin, Just wanted to say Thank-You! We had a great time at the Jackson Lake house. We appreciate your help answering all of our questions about the house and Dahlonega. I hope everything was ok with the house. One of the pool lights needs replaced. Have a great weekend. Sincerely, The Teal Family
