The now-retired Owner is a former restaurateur who owned several restaurants and a gourmet supermarket in NYC and Long Island. His wife had formerly worked for NY State Unemployment Division.
Why the Owner Chose Montauk
We were very impressed with the quiet beauty of the Hither Hills area of Montauk, as well as being able to walk to the Ocean from our house. We are approximately 1-1/2 miles west of the town of Montauk, and everything we need can be obtained by either walking or driving this short distance.
The Unique Benefits of this Vacation Beach House
This property is located in an extremely quiet stretch of pines and scrub oak trees, and very close to Hither Hills State Park on the Ocean. It is high on a hill where you have unlimited views of the Ocean and inland. Being members of the Montauk Beach Owners Association offers renters access to deeded beach rights. You may either walk back and forth to the Ocean from the house, or drive down and park in any one of 4 private parking areas on the dunes. You are provided with a Parking Permit and a key to unlock gates right on the dunes.
