The condo was exactly what we were looking for during our stay in Kona. The condo was clean and a welcome site after a day at the beach. The complex is nice, peaceful and close enough to hear the waves from the lanai. But a quick 5 min drive and your are in downtown Kona. We especially loved eating breakfast with our gecko on the lanai.
Owner response:We are glad you enjoyed yourselves. The geckos are so fun to watch, aren't they?! Thanks for the 5 star review. Come stay with us again.

Once again, we stayed at this during our annual trip to Kona. It is so obvious that the owners care about their condo and the comforts of their visitors. The condo is clean and uncluttered. The owners provide all the comforts of home from linens to snorkel equipment and even a list of the good places to eat, landmarks to visit and tours to take while you are there. You can enjoy the quiet condo and lanai, walk to a market or beaches nearby or enjoy the night life and shopping also nearby. This place is truly our home away from home.
Owner response:Thanks John and Mary for another 5 star review. We appreciate staying at uncluttered places so we try to keep our condo that way. Repeat guests like you are very special to us, so keep coming every year. Mahalo and Aloha.

We had a wonderful time on the Big Island and just loved having this condo for our accommodations. Everything was just perfect. The kitchen is open to the living room so it's very airy and light. The location was conveniently located just south the main strip in Kailua Kona and easy to access. Being divers, we had an easy 15 minute drive to the marina to catch the dive boats. We also were within a short driving distance to some of the shore dives in Place of Refuge etc. It's great to have a free washer/dryer in the unit when you're away for so long. The washing machine gave out on us while we were there and Janet was extremely quick to respond and managed to have the repairman there with the repair completed within just 2 days of my contacting her. She's extremely responsive and helpful so there are no worries while you're away! Thanks for a great stay!
Owner response:We are so happy you found the condo to be comfortable and convenient. Thanks for the great review. We are sorry the washer malfunctioned when you were here, but we are glad we could get it fixed in a timely manner. We don't want you to have any worries while you are here. After all, you are in paradise!! Come back soon. Mahalo.

The love that the owners have for Hawaii and their condo is evident from the moment you walk in the door. Every possible need that you could have has already been anticipated. Will you need a snorkel, beach towel, boogie board, sunscreen, or cooler for the beach? Those are available and waiting for you in a hall closet. How about extra soap, toilet paper, or laundry detergent? Right there waiting for you! There was even an extra coffee maker in the cupboard when the one on the counter started acting up! I have been visiting the Big Island for years and I have never stayed in a condo that has been so well stocked before. It was fantastic. The view from the lanai was beautiful. It was a pleasure to sit in a lounge chair on the man made beach area and watch the sea. We saw sea turtles within 20 minutes of our arrival in Hawaii when we stood on the wall next door by the salt water pool. It became a daily ritual to go over and look for them at about 3:00 pm and 2 or 3 were usually there feeding! The other residents and visitors were extremely friendly and the BBQ area is a wonderful social gathering place. Kona Isle is far enough from the hustle and bustle of dowtown Kona that you don't have to hear the noise of town all the time. It is about a 30 minute walk into the downtown farmer's market or the shops. If you don't want to walk, the bus has a stop just nearby. I would gladly stay here again. The condo was great and the grounds were lovely.
Owner response:Thanks for the glowing review, Pamela. We try to anticipate guests' needs and are glad you enjoyed our island home. Please visit again.

Janis and I stayed a week here in late April and had the most enjoyable time I and we've ever had in our beautiful 50th state (I once stayed in Honolulu for a month back in the seventies). We had rented a car and spent a lot of time exploring the Big Island, snorkeling, eating great dinners at some of the restaurants down the road, so our time at the condo was pretty much limited to naps, watching videos, and sleep. We did waste a lot of time, however, lounging around in the morning with the absolutely delectable Kona coffee we brewed in the well-appointed kitchen. Janet was most helpful with all my questions prior to committing to the rental, and her book collection in the unit satisfied all my curiosity about the island's history, geography, wild- and plant life (I'm a little weird that way, wanting to know what that pretty bird was that paused briefly in the palm next to the lanai). As you can probably tell, I'd recommend this experience to any and all who are looking for a real comfortable stay in this exotic destination.
Owner response:Thank you, Allan, for such a glowing review. Our condo is a perfect jumping off spot for exploring the island and for relaxing, too. Glad you found the place comfortable and as described. I like knowing there are others out there that are curious about the animals, trees and flowers of the island. The books in the condo can answer a lot of those types of questions. You are invited to come back anytime. Mahalo.

We would like to thank Fred and Janet for sharing their lovely home with us. We had a wonderful time and enjoyed the condo very much. Everything has been kept up and is very clean. The area down by the ocean is very special because of the sandy area with the beautiful trees, lounge chairs and tables. We spent several afternoons sitting there reading while enjoying the waves splashing onto the rocks. Every evening we would walk down and enjoy the beautiful sunsets with the other residents of the complex. Then we would fire up one of the grills for dinner. Everything was fantastic and we would definitely return to Fred & Janet’s special home.
Owner response:Mahalo, John and Sharon. We are glad you enjoyed your stay at our island home and hope you visit again. Another beautiful sunset awaits you on your return!

This was our fifth time to spend time in this condo. The owners continue to made improvements to the condo. It has a great view, and is close to several farmers markets. Bring your Dvd's and you can play them at night prior to going to bed. of course they also have cable, but your on vacation, you shouldnt need cable. :) The pool and the beach or only seconds away, you allways have the waves to put you to sleep. A bus stop is about a block away, $1.00 to go anywhere on the route. so you dont even need a car. They have several Bqq grills, and a full kitchen. You will save also save all sorts of money buying food at the markets and cooking on the beach as you watch the sun set. Another plus is the condo is smoke free, and is beauitful. They have books and information on attractions in the condo for you to review to plan you vacation. Another great feature is the wireless internet connection for free. I can go on and on about how great this place is. Check it out your self
Owner response:Thanks for the great review. We are so glad you enjoy and appreciate our unit. It is cost effective to stay here, isn't it. The rental rates are very competitive and even less expensive than some other units in other complexes that are not nearly as nice! Hope you make this an annual trip. Mahalo.

We stayed in the condo for 3 weeks during the Ironman (October). We were in Hawaï in 2004 as well, then we also stayed there, so for us it was obvious to go back to the same place. We already knew what the condo was like: very clean and we had everything we needed. We even had our own pet: Mr. Gecko, funny to watch while sitting on the lanai with a very nice view... I would also like to thank Janet and Fred again, for letting us enjoy the beautiful Island Hawaï in the perfect place, where we really felt like home. If we ever go back to Hawaï, I would like to stay there again! Kind Regards, Nancy & Lode from Belgium
Owner response:You are welcome to come back anytime and thank you for the nice review. We do try to make it easy and fun to book with us. Congratulations to Lode for finishing the IronMan.

We just got back from 8 days at the Kona Isle. The unit was everything advertised. It was clean and all the amenities were there ready to use. While the complex is a bit older than many it is very well maintained. The pool was nice although we used the lounge area right by the water more often. The picture they use showing the water from the unit is exactly right. Lots of lawn chairs and chaise lounges, the BBQ are is maybe 20 yards from where the waves are crashing in. They really need a picture of the BBQ area because it's an awesome place to eat dinner at night. The other residents are very friendly, lots are full time or long term snow birds. Easy access to Kona proper, a short drive to grocery stores and heading south you can easily start your drive to lots of the Island attractions. We ate mostly at the condo or outside, it's so much more relaxing (and a lot cheaper, ha ha). The owners were very responsive, everything they said was as stated. Lots of helpful hints on things to do and the directions were perfect on how to find them. I would definitely recommend this unit and this property to anyone wanting to come to the Big Island. When we go back to the Big Island we'll try and stay here again, but next time it will be longer!
Owner response:Thanks for the great review. We also love the BBQ area down at the water's edge. It is lovely to eat so near the water. Please come back anytime. Our island home is yours now, too.

We stayed at the condo for a week in early April. It was our first trip to Hawaii and the best word for it is Breathtaking. The view from the lanai is exactly as shown in the photos! The condo was very clean and well prepared for guests. Kona Isle has the perfect location - just far enough away from the hustle and bustle, but close enough to walk to it all. The grounds at Kona Isle are very well kept and Brian, the manager, was very pleasant. It was so easy to feel right at home. The library in the condo also provided us a great source of reference on the birds we were watching and other local spots to check out during our visit. Each morning we sat on the lanai and watched for dolphins as the island canoes passed by. To our delight, we were joined by a gecko each day. We took in many of the suggestions on snorkeling and eating provided by the Janet and Fred. The snorkeling was amazing. There were so many fish and turtles to see! There were also times that we were alone on some great beaches. Another must do is the Farmer's Market - the fruit was incredible. We cannot thank Janet and Fred enough for renting out their little slice of heaven. We also truly appreciate all the suggestions provided. It made our trip so much more fun knowing that we knew of places other tourists didn't. Overall, our stay in Kona could not have been more perfect, unless of course, we never had to leave.
Owner response:We are so glad to have honeymooners in our condo and first time visitors. We provide up-to-date information after booking with us that suggests restaurants and beaches and favorite places. We are not affiliated with any of our suggested places--we have been to them and we think they are worth noting. Come see what makes our condo and Kona so special.

We have stayed at what we like to call "our island in the sun" for three years in a row. We wouldn't stay any place else! This condo provides us all the comforts of home in Paradise. Here you have access to everything from snorkle equipment to clean linen. You can grill down by the shore, walk to stores and open markets, drive or ride the bus or trolley to more businesses. The condo is an great place to stay because of the atmosphere, the view, friendly neighbors, and easy access to your preference of either peace and quiet or an active stay of visiting the sights and enjoying the nightlife. The owners are very good about suggesting where to eat or the best places to snorkel and sometimes leave a coupon in the condo for us to enjoy. I know you will enjoy it as much as we do and plan to again next year.
Owner response:We are happy you will staying again next year. We value repeat guests so much!

Stayed for ten days and could have stayed for a year! Nice, comfortable, homey unit close to downtown with friendly neighbors. Fell asleep each night to the sound of waves, not traffic. Had daily visits on the lanai from the local Gecko. Hope to be back soon!!!!!

Renelle said, "Of course you can use any comments I've made." "This morning I could see dolphins from your lanai. There were 20-30 with babies, spinning and playing and it was the best show I ever had with a cup of coffee." "I'm loving your place so much. Love hearing the waves when I go to sleep. Everything is so clean and wonderful" "Last week, about 3:45 pm, a whale mother gave birth right in front of our very own sandy beach! Just another great moment among many at your unit." "I just wanted to say a big thank you again--as I didn't have to buy anything, the unit was ready, and it felt like home. It was so clean, I was right at home." Renelle stayed for 3 weeks in March, 2008.
