Staying at Pauline & Gary’s is nothing short of wonderful! By far one of the best vrbo we have ever stayed at. Their warm and generous hospitality had us coming back for a second time. Their charming home is extremely clean, has all the necessities of home, and was just so pleasant. We couldn't have asked for more!

Pauline and Gary have the best deal going in this part of New Mexico. Our group of 3 painters needed a place to stay for a week that was centrally located to Santa Fe, Taos and the Abiquiu area and this guest house was perfect. It was easy making day trips to Santa Fe and Taos galleries, the Santa Fe flea market and art market, Chama and the quaint little town of Madrid. It's also a quick drive to Rancho de Chimayo Restaurante and Hacienda for an excellent dinner or the Hilton Buffalo Thunder Resort and Casino. The guest house is very clean, well maintained and stocked with everything you need. There is a grill for cooking outdoors, a washer and dryer and ice maker in the fridge. They have literally thought of everything! If by chance you need something you forgot or couldn't bring on your flight, they will have that, too, and gladly loan it out. There was major highway construction underway when we were there and we had some trouble with the directions when first arriving, especially since it was after dark and there were no signs at the turn off. We overshot the turn by 4 miles. We learned to watch for the stone church on the hill as a landmark for the turn and suggest that you get specific landmark directions. ("When driving north from Santa Fe, if you pass the Dreamcatcher Cinema then you've gone too far.") As hosts Gary and Pauline couldn't be nicer. They obviously love their state and like to show it off to visitors. While friendly and available if you need them, they respect your privacy also. I would not hesitate to book another stay with them or recommend them to friends and family.

We had a wonderful 2 1/2 week stay at Aunt Pauline's guest house. The accommodations were very home-like; and the welcome we received from Pauline & Gary made us feel like "part of the family". These top-notch hosts introduced us to authentic New Mexican food & wine. They shared delicious veggies from their garden; along with detailed information regarding places to explore around the area. On days we went hiking, Pauline would check on us that evening to make sure we got home safe & sound- very comforting to us (being new to NM). The location was ideal for doing day trips to Taos, Ghost Ranch, Bandelier, Turquoise Trail, & the Jemez Mts. It was a wonderful first experience with VRBO, & we would highly recommend a stay at Aunt Pauline's Guest House!

I had the greatest delight in spending an absolutely perfect week at Aunt Pauline's Guest house! It was new, immaculate, charming, quiet, private, safe and so easy to feel immediately at home in. With pet and chemical sensitivities I needed a pure environment and found it here. For dog lovers there was talk when I left of there being a future dog run for those who need a place for their pets to run while keeping the house pet-free. A perfect combination for all. The owner, Pauline, is a caring and accomodating manager and neighbor and will make your stay comfortable in any way that you may need. She and her husband know the area inside and out and will provide helpful tips regarding touring the amazing region or they will leave you on your own if you prefer a quiet retreat in the guest house and it's beautiful fenced garden. It is the greatest find in many years and I will be sending many travelers Pauline's way. You will not be disappointed in any way with this charming find! The appliances are new and better than mine at home with all Dish channels, washer/dryer, full kitchen and WiFi connection indoors. But I liked found more peace in getting away from all that and just finding rest and beauty in the "house" and geographical region. It is an easy run down to Santa Fe for dinner or sightseeing as Pauline's is located conveniently at the South end of Espanola. I give it 4 out of 4 stars!
