Well-loved Home Met Our Needs

This vacation home met our needs perfectly. It is obviously a well -loved family home. It really functions well with the master bedroom upstairs and the other bedrooms in another wing of the house. It was comfortable and a real refuge at the end of the day. There are windows everywhere and a real sense of being in the country (complete with a babbling brook). We really enjoyed coffee on the deck in the morning along with goodies from the Busy Bee Bakery. The owner was very easy to work with.

I was part of a group of 7. The layout and location of the house was perfect! There were able dishes, seating and linens. I have already recommended this home to a friend who is searching for a coastal getaway. The location of the home was close enough to the shops and markets and yet situated off the main thoroughfare to enjoy the peace and serenity that abounds in Point Reyes. While in yhe area I would highly recommend hiking to the lighthouse. (be prepared for a workout but well worth it! We even saw whales!) Also on the must see and do is shopping at "Spirit Matters" which is a great shop located in Inverness Park...it's a very magical place. Another great thing to do is a your of the Cowgirl Creamery. Well worth the $5 fee and our tour guide, Cheryl, was great! Not to be missed is the Earthquake Hike. Point Reyes is right on the fault line and the path of the hike included informative signs. Last but not least, a HUGE shout-out to Tony's Seafood in Tomales Bay. I foolishly assumed getting fish in a town on the ocean would be easy. WRONG! If you're looking for oysters, no problem....they're everywhere! Thanks to Tony's Seafood, they were willing to sell, as well as fillet, fish for the meal we planned to prepare at home. Thanks for going the extra mile! In closing, the weekend at Point Reyes was relaxing and fun-filled. This home was the perfect accomodation for the lovely weekend! I plan on booking this residence in the future!
