Jim was more than helpful when it came to answering questions about his house and local attractions. The house is big, the view is spectacular, and the location is unbeatable! Fishing was also excellent right from the dock! The game room is great for sport enthusiasts as it has a professional pool table and a large flat screen tv on the wall. The kitchen is great for cooking and the large charcoal grill is perfect for cooking for large groups. I guarantee there aren't too many places like this one! Highly recommended!

We stayed in Jim's house for a Bachelorette Party for 12 people and had a fantastic time. Jim met us upon arrival and showed us around the entire house and how everything worked. There was more than enough space between all the living rooms, kitchen, and outdoor space. The house was immaculately clean and we could not be happier with our choice. The proximity to town was also very convenient. We loved it and want to go back!

We enjoyed a fabulous family reunion at the Lake House. We ranged in age from 3 months to 88. One night we had 22 for dinner, and we never felt crowded. Jim is a fabulous host, and did everything that he could to assure our positive experience. The water gear for children was especially appreciated, but the adults had just as much fun fishing, pedal boating and canoing. The house is extremely comfortable and well laid out. The beds were all comfortable and the bedrooms well appointed. Even though the weather was not the best, there was plenty to do, and we had a blast. The kitchen is especially spacious and well appointed. We ate every meal in. We hope to be back next year.

We absolutely loved Jim's home. We could not have dreamt of a better place to spend a week on the lake. It was amazing. He has even more amenities than listed here, including children's gear, which was great for us. We didn't even have time to try everything available to us, but enjoyed what we did including lots of boating, fishing from the pier, dinners with the great view of the lake, grilling out with one of three available grills, shooting hoops both in the water and out, and watching the kids have a blast with the kiddie "Chaci" boat and the sand beach. Jim was great to work with and we would highly recommend a visit to his wonderful home on beautiful, uncrowded Powers lake.

I rented this property for the first time over the Father’s Day weekend. We had family members ranging in age from 1 to 88 and they all had a wonderful time. We all enjoyed swimming at the beach, the paddle boat and canoe; it was great fun for the kids. For me, my favorite thing was the huge dining table where the family all gathered for meals. We made some wonderful memories that we will cherish for a lifetime, highly recommended!
