My family of 4 were looking for a quiet waterfront rental that allowed our dog, a Golden Retriever, to join us. We found what we were looking for here. Located conveniently near North Conway (30 minutes away) we found this place clean, and presented as it was described. We enjoyed lots of fishing, my son caught a 3 1/2 - 4 pound bass along with a bunch of sunfish and we kayaked daily. On a rainy day we went to a really wonderful movie theater, The Magic Lantern, just 15 minutes away in Bridgton Maine. At 0.7 miles down the road there was a trail head to a great hike. Once discovered, my dog and I did it daily for our 3 remaining days. The owners offered a great library of entertainment ranging from movies to old tv shows. Lots of comedy. Although located right off the road, once you exited the building toward the pond (size of a lake), it was like you were in your own world. Quite and serene. A gas grill and picnic table made dinner there easy each night, although one trip to North Conway for dinner and shopping was fun. Bring your own food and drink. Although convenient, the local store was expensive. We lit fires each night in the fire pit and was told by a local retired fireman that no permit was required. We purchased fishing licenses but were never approached. We prefer to have them regardless. The house had air conditioning, which was necessary the week we were there. Very good value for the money. The owners were easy to deal with and we enjoyed our stay.Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 0/0

The cottage is easily accessible and right on the water with a deck and dock for relaxing. It is extremely well stocked for both easy living and outdoor activities. The location was perfect for our needs - tranquil but near services. Two kayaks and a canoe were ready to go for a paddle out onto the lake. We felt at home and enjoyed what the cottage and area had to offer. The owner was very nice, helpful and accommodating.Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 0/0

Stayed here for a weekend getaway and had an excellent time! Great location right on the water. House is well maintained with everything you would need. Caught several good size Bass right from the dock!! There were 2 kayaks and a canoe to use which was great and spent every night relaxing in front of the fire pit. This is a great place to stay for small families, and loved that it was pet friendly. The owners were very friendly and easy to work with, I look forward to staying here again.Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 1/1

What a great spot! My family and I arrived and immediately felt right at home. The house was the perfect size for the four of us, and we loved being right on the water. My boys fished for the first time, and both caught a few! We also got to kayak, swim and just hang out and watch the sunset. The house was clean and had everything we needed for our stay. The owners couldn't have been nicer too-- they were so accommodating, and provided us with fun ideas for things to do in the area. It is a very convenient location, and we got to explore the area quite a bit! Maine is a great spot to be, and we would highly reccommend this house to others.Did you find this review helpful? Beautiful setting on the lake, very peaceful and quiet. Just drive up and feel at home, everything you need is there. Build a fire and sit by the lake. We enjoyed the lake and used the cottage as a jumping off location to visit Portland, Kennebunkport and Freeport. This was our first trip to Maine.Did you find this review helpful? Great place to stay for relaxation. Stayed with family and dogs and had a great time. Property was as promised and everything you need is there. The location is great- far enough away to be peaceful but still local stores for necessities. Property owners were great to work with.Recommended for: Sightseeing, pet owners.
