  Mar Azul is a terrific perch if you're looking for a quiet and comfortable home base in Rincon. You can't beat the location (though at the beginning you'll probably miss a turn on your way somewhere, but isn't that part of the fun on a vacation?). It's in a quiet rural-feeling residential neighborhood and the balcony overlooks a beautiful valley so you feel away from everything even though you're literally minutes away from whatever you need, especially if you need a good selection of boards and fantastic surf breaks. The studio is simple without feeling spartan or low budget, the outdoor space is great, and Bobby and Raquel are the best sort of owner/hosts: warm and friendly and helpful. They've represented the place completely accurately in their listing, and yet it doesn't really do the set-up—or them—justice! My only complaint is that my stay was way too short.

  I loved my stay here. Bobby was very helpful during the reservation process and throughout my stay. The apt was exactly as shown in the pictures and it is totaly adequate for one person or a couple. I stayed in the upstairs apt. I did not ise the A/C once because it is well ventilated with 4 windows and a screen door and there was always a nice breeze flowing through. The outdoor patio with furniture is also a nice feature of this apt. Bobby provided beach towels and chairs at no extra charge. The sunrise that I saw from the bed one morning looked exactly like what is shown in the ad! This apt is a great value and I look forward to staying here again. I have stayed at many other places in Rincon including the Lazy Parrot, Casa Islena, Blue Boy Inn, and Tres Sirenas and I loved this little apt the most!

  Recommended for: Adventure seekers, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

  Raquel and Bobby were great hosts and their spot is really special - a piece of paradise! Beautiful views, amazing breezes and awesome boards. Thanks again for a perfect stay - we can't wait to come back!!

  The room & the property are outstanding, equipment is top notch, and you just can't beat the sunsets,waves and snorkeling in Rincon.

  We stayed for just a few nights at the end of June 2011. This place was awesome. It was immaculate, and beautiful. It's a small studio but with 3 windows you get a cross breeze and can listen to the nature all night if you want to. If not, the AC worked great. The deck is a great place to spend time, cool, quiet, beautiful and the fragrance from the flowers all around is wonderful. We made some day trips to nearby beaches, forests and towns. It made a great start to our trip. The room was awesome, the hosts are super nice and helpful. Thanks to Bobby and Raquel. Love, love, love your place.

  Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, romantic getaway.
