The Lake House is located in a quiet bay, with 40 feet of waterfront privacy. Enjoy warm, sunny days and peaceful sunsets in your Adirondack chairs on your own dock. An ideal courtyard deck at the Lake House awards you the privacy of early morning coffee or a leisurely afternoon of reading.
The completely renovated Lake House has four bedrooms, two of those rooms have queen size beds and one has two twin beds. Another bedroom has a bunkbed. A galley style kitchen with all the appliances of home make your family meals a breeze.
Beautiful lake views greet you from all rooms. Linens are not provided but clean blankets, pillows and mattress pads are. The upper bedrooms are air conditioned. The Lake House also has a laundry room. An 80' dock is yours to moor your boat or fish at the end, as well as a BBQ grill, picnic table and campfire pit.
As quiet as our home is, only 2 blocks away is a major shopping district, including restaurants, movie theater and gift shops. The famous Chautauqua Institution is a 20 minute drive as well as the Historic Midway Park. The lake is 22 miles long and is a major destination for the Tri-state area, providing fantastic fishing and boating.

Tom and Cheryl live approximately 1 hour from the lake. We are parents of 3 children and grandparents of 5 grandsons, ranging in age from 3 to 9 yrs old.
Why the Owner Chose Lakewood
We've always enjoyed being on the water and found this home to be very convenient and close to home. We especially enjoy relaxing and spending time with our family on the lake.

My family of 5 plus my parents stayed here for a week in August 2010 and had a very nice time. The house was very comfortable and roomy for all of us. Clean and neat, well-equipped kitched, plenty of sitting space for eating and relaxing. The pictures do not show how lovely and roomy the house is. There's a breezeway for storing all your 'toys', a back deck and grill, the yard is large - we put up a volleyball net for 2 on 2. Unfortunately, we were disappointed with the swimming. It is very shallow by the dock (about 3.5 feet) and then there is mud and weeds - lots of it! There was no swim ladder. Fortunately, WalMart is nearby and we were able to get a step ladder that we propped against the dock. We managed to use blow-up rafts to get out where it was deep enough to swim and not so weedy. Cheryl was very helpful in providing beach options around the lake, but we were really looking forward to relaxing at the house, since we had age 2 to 79 to accommodate. We loved nearly everything about the place. The neighbors were friendly, there was a small park nearby. But we love to swim and that was disappointing. If you have a boat of some sort to get out away from shore, then it is a great place. Mostly quiet and everything you could need at the WalMart and other stores. If you look for quaintness in the town, its not the best place - chain restaurants and somewhat commercial. But the house and neighborhood are lovely.
Recommended for:Age 55+, girls getaway.
