If you want to be in the center of everything for your next ski vacation, this is the spot. In one direction is word class skiing and hiking, and in the other is the unique town center of historic Telluride. Our two-story condo is one of a six unit property located in the desirable east-end of town. The property borders protected open space- a true delight. Look out the windows as you eat your skier's breakfast and enjoy the huge and unobstructed views of the Telluride Ski Area, ice skaters on Town Park pond, the sledders on Firecracker Hill, the nordic skiers enjoying loops through Town Park, and back country skiers descending down Bear Creek Canyon.
Just out your door is the San Miguel River Trail where you can stroll along the River Trail that runs the length of the Valley Floor. Having such easy to walk the length of the Town on a maintained trail. You also have immediate access to the Bear Creek trail which offers scenic snowshoeing or cross country skiing.
It's a short 2 block walk to the Gondola. The amenities of Town Park, local shops and restaurants are within a block of the property and make it convenient for a group where your family and friends can come and go as they please. Always available is the Galloping Goose town trolley or the Gondola which are both free of charge. However, there is so much to enjoy in the immediate area, you will not need a car.
The condominium is sunny, clean and spacious with new linens, bedding and kitchen utensils. We have purposely left the unit free of knick-knacks in order to avoid a cluttered feeling for our guests. We also know how ski bags can explode with gear upon arrival!
On the entry level is the large master suite, with it's private full bath including a two person jetted tub (ideal for soaking away tired muscles) and glassed steam shower (perfect for chasing away a chill), is located on the first level and is furnished with new, West Elm furniture. On this first level you'll also find the second queen bedroom complete with a down comforter and a private full bath. And please note, a washer and dryer room is available for your use.
Walk upstairs and you'll find the third queen bedroom and full bath as well as a contemporary designed and equipped kitchen with its granite countertops and Sub-Zero refrigerator that adjoins the dining room and living room. The living room is roomy with vaulted, pine ceilings and sky lights that bring in sun and views. There is a terrific sofa, perfect for watching movies at night or curling up and reading a book in the afternoon sun. The unit is equipped with wireless Internet as well as a TV/DVD/CD/ player. The unit also has in-floor heating that will be sure to keep you warm in the winter. The small deck off the great room allows the lucky guests to look up at Bear Creek Canyon, the Telluride Ski Area, the San Miguel River, Town Park, the Beaver Pond as well as the town of Telluride.
There is a secured parking space located in the garage on the ground level of the building accessible by garage door opener. This is for your use where you can leave a vehicle or stash over flow gear, skis & boards, sleds, etc.
