I drove to SC with my extended family for a weekend wedding. After 23 hours of driving, the LakeHouse was VERY welcoming. We immediately felt relaxed as we stretched out on the comfortable leather furniture. The beds were all very comfortable and we were impressed with the cleanliness of the house. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here, and would love to come back to visit someday!

Well cleaned home. Fully equipped with everything you need. Plenty of space. Beautiful view on the lake. Loved running in the area on quiet country roads. Would definitely use again or recommend to a friend!!

A perfect vacation was enjoyed by all! Early morning breakfast on the lakeside porch most mornings and weather permiting, beautiful sunsets and then late dinners were enjoyed there as well. The home is very clean and neat and very well suited for a family vacation at the lake. Owners Kathy and Dan were Johnnny-On-The-Spot with any call/text/request we had. Had 9 gymnasts stay in this house with a coach chaperon for a week and what an amazing experience! Loved that you are right on the lake and the girls spend afternoons flipping off the dock after gymnastics camp! House was a perfect set up for having kids with you and was so peaceful! What a wonderful experience and perfect home! Kathy was wonderful! Thanks for a great trip!

We enjoyed having so much space, the beautiful view and all the homey extras which saved us a number of trips to the store. It is so relaxing to walk along the lake, sun on the dock and swings, grill and generally enjoy each others' company (even if I did loose at the games). Everyone was so friendly and helpful with our special thanks to the "ticket fairy"!

The house really felt like a home .... Relaxing and so Clean. We came here to attend our family reunion at a home at the other end of the lake - of course there is never enough room for everyone...(Italian family) your home made our trip so much more enjoyable not having to stay in a hotel room. Everything was there - usually with most rental homes you have to bring all the essentials with you. We would definitely stay there again.

A quiet, relaxing getaway

We loved every minute of our stay in this home. The floor plan is perfect for children and adults, with two bedrooms, a living area, and playroom downstairs so the kids could stretch out and be noisy, while the adults could enjoy peace and quiet in their accommodations upstairs. The house is clean, neat, and comfortable, and it came furnished with everything we needed (including a large gas grill). We were a little concerned that there would be constant boat/jet ski traffic since the lake is a very popular recreation spot, but the house is located on a quiet finger of the lake that doesn't attract speeding watercraft. Plus, because it's mostly residential, there was very little activity on the water near the house during the weekdays. The quiet was soothing, and the views of the lake and rolling country around it were lovely. My father got up early every day to fish from the dock, and later in the morning, the whole family came down to play in the clean, calm water. There are restaurants and grocery stores just a mile or two away, which was very convenient, and Spartanburg malls/dining/entertainment are only 10 minutes from the house via I-26. On the lake, however, we felt miles away from the real world. It was heavenly. We feel like we've discovered a hidden gem, and are definitely booking again for next year.

Wonderful Getaway Spot

This is a wonderful getaway spot! The house is so comfortable, plenty of room to spread out and relax and loaded with amenities. The house was spotless and in great condition. The owners were great to work with and so accommodating. Our first trip was in the winter and even though it was chilly, we bundled up and enjoyed beautiful sunsets on the dock, as well as cozy fires in the fireplaces. We loved it so much we came back this spring! The only drawback...we couldn't stay longer! Will definitely come back again!

What a wonderful weekend and what a wonderful house! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at your beautiful lake house and are so grateful that you opened it up to us! The house was extremely clean, kid friendly and comfortable. The backyard was perfect for little kids to play in thanks to the fenced in area. We loved sitting on your dock, talking and watching the boats go by. Our two year old loved playing in your little beach area and throwing rocks into the water. My only complaint (and it could not be helped) was that the boaters in this part of the lake did not keep to a "no wake zone," making it hard to fish off the dock. Other than that, the house, the lake, and the vacation were perfect! I would highly recommended, especially if you have kids!

It was an absolute pleasure to spend our honeymoon in your home. We appreciated how nice it was for our arrival. You truly thought of everything. In all my years of traveling for my job, I have stayed in some of the finest hotels but have always longed for home. This is the very first time that I was sad to leave. It was so clean, comfy and fulfilling. It was truly a home away from home. My new husband and I were able to enjoy alone time out on the deck at sunset with a view that seemed to make time stand still. We also entertained family that was in close proximity to visit and they 2 were delighted in their time here. Your personalized hospitality is unique to your guest. The wedding card and gift you left for us was such a special touch and will never be forgotten. We look forward to, and have every intention of visiting your home again. I grew up in Chesnee and was looking for a comfortable home--kid friendly--to vacation in while visiting friends and family. Kathy and Dan's lake house far surpassed our needs and expectations! We had plenty of room for friends and family to come over and visit. Our kids loved playing in the fenced back yard and it was great to enjoy the lake and not worry about toddlers wandering too close to the water. Kathy and Dan were absolutely great to work with. This was a vacation we will remember for many years to come and we look forward to vacationing there on Lake Bowen again soon!

What a fabulous vacation house! I grew up in SC but had never been to Lake Bowen. We were coming back to visit family and wanted a place close enough to all the relatives that would provide a sanctuary for us as well and this house was perfect for us. Kathy & Dan have thought of everything - the house is spacious, beautiful and well appointed. We especially liked that there were plenty of places for everyone to gather - the living room upstairs, the screen porch, the deck, the game room, etc - as well as plenty of places for some quiet/private time for the youngest and oldest members away from noise and activity. There is no way to be bored here, whether you're swimming or boating, or just hanging around the house reading, playing board or video games, watching movies, or chatting on the porch. The flowers and other goodies that were waiting for us on our arrival were also a nice touch. We had a wonderful time! and hope to stay with you again next time we are in the area.

This Lake Home is beautiful and has everything you need for a wonderful relaxing vacation. The owners, Kathy & Dan are awesome friendly people to work with. My family and I really enjoyed the lake views with swimming and fishing right off the dock. You could not ask for a nicer place to stay. I would highly recomend this rental to anyone who was visiting this area. You can pack very light because everything you need is already there, linens, cooking utensils, books, games, foosball, air hockey, satellite tv, internet....... I am hoping we can visit again sometime in the future.

Thank you for a wonderful home for us to vacation with our family. We are locals who needed a place for extended family to come and go as they could and this was perfect! We have never had such accomdations at any other vacation rental. Absolutely everything you could need was provided. The home was very clean, welcoming and spacious. From my elderly mother to my young granddaughter - everyone had a great time! Lake Bowen is a beautiful place to visit and Kathy has a beautiful home to rest and relax in.

Our family had a wonderful time at the lakehouse. The kids loved the dock and swimming area and our youngest two (3 and 5) lost their fear of the water and were paddling all over in the provided life jackets. The teenagers had plenty of space and entertainment. The owners made us feel so welcome with little goodies and even flowers. The house was immaculate and anything we needed was there - from laundry supplies to cd's and movies to video and board games.The children have been wanting to go back and if we are ever in the area again, we would definitely do so.
