The quaint town of Long Beach, IN with its 2,000 permanent residents is located in the Upper Northwest corner of Indiana - 5 minutes away from the Michigan border and the town of New Buffalo, MI.
It's only a 90-minute drive from downtown Chicago or an easy commute via South Shore Line or Amtrak.
Our cottage named Casa Bella is situated between Lake Michigan and LB Golf Course, surrounded by 1/2 acre of garden and trees but only two blocks from white sandy, private beaches.
It's the perfect getaway from the hustle & bustle of the big city and yet offers all the aspects of a first class beach resort. The atmosphere is very laid back, the sunsets are spectacular and the sports/cultural activities are unlimited.
If you want to rejuvenate and experience an easy lifestyle with all the conveniences in walking distance: supermarket, pharmacy, restaurants, flower shop, gym etc. then Casa Bella and its lake effect is the place to be.

We are two working professionals in the marketing and investment industry. Since we are constantly 'on-the-go' we were looking for a unique home where we can rejuvenate from our busy lifestyles. We wanted a place which allows us to connect with nature, to enjoy the Outdoors and offers a vast variety of sports, culinary and cultural endeavors.
Why the Owner Chose Long Beach
My husband has been vacationing in the Chicago 'Hampton's' since childhood and was very familiar with the gorgeous, sandy beaches. We wanted something easy accessible (only 1 1/2 hr drive) from our downtown Chicago home. Long Beach with its unique architecture, the quiet and peaceful atmosphere and our charming and very private beach cottage was the perfect match.
The Unique Benefits of this House
We enjoy listening in bed to the sound of the waves, watching the magnificent sunsets, entertaining by candlelit on the huge deck, cooking with fresh ingredients from the Michigan farms, reading in the hammock under the shady oak trees, observing a vast variety of birds, squirrels, raccoons, deers, rabbits and more...... or swimming in the lake, collecting beach glass, playing a game of boccia, dart, tennis, sandbags or golf. Biking the neighborhood or enjoy a lesson of yoga, pilates or relaxing with a deep tissue massage.
