It is here where you can snorkel and swim directly outside your door or quietly sunbathe on the beach. If you are interested in Water sports... it is just a step away next door at Rum Point where you can book Dive/Snorkel/Stingray trips or rent Kayaks/Boats/Wave runners 7 days a week!
Just steps away you can have lunch on the beach or enjoy an evening of fine dining at the Rum Point Club or enjoy lunch and dinner at the Kaibo Yacht Club just down the road.
With full time on-site Management the Retreat offers a welcoming staff to assist you with all of your rental needs whether it is making dinner reservations, arranging for childcare, transportation, catering or booking a quiet in-residence massage. We stayed at The Retreat in February and thoroughly enjoyed every minute. The condo was clean, comfortable, and had everything we needed to cook, if we felt like it. We stayed in some nights and tried local restaurants on others. There was even a blender so we could make our own mudslides to enjoy while watching the spectacular sunset on the beach. The owners provided snorkel gear so we could swim right outside the door. We discovered that if we walk down the beach a little ways,we could snorkel our way back because the current carried us right back to The Retreat! The main floor location of this unit was really convenient. There was no hauling luggage up and down the stairs. Better yet- we went out our patio door into a nice grassy area. A few more steps and we were on the sugar sand private beach. We had the option of the pool on-site, but didn't take advantage with the wonderful beach out front. Having wifi in the unit was really nice, as I could download more books to my Kindle when I finished everything I had with me. It also let us keep up with things at home so we could truly relax. I highly recommend this condo and this location if you are looking for a true getaway vacation in paradise.

We stayed over Christmas 2011, New Year (and our wedding anniversary). For a fairly quiet vacation spot away from most of the crowds, the Rum Point area is a great place to stay, having a small range of varied restaurants within a short drive, and a beach with sunrise & sunset views literally steps away. There are also some 'water sports' adjacent to the property. This was our second time in this area, and this one bedroom unit facing the sea was an excellent base for the quieter side of Grand Cayman. The property and furnishings were well maintained, and there is a weekly cleaning service as well as an on-site condo management service; we loved the large bed and walk in shower and overall feel of this unit. There is patio furniture and two beach chairs within the unit, but the resort itself ran out of beach loungers on several days, but there's an adjacent public beach with many loungers, and also a few hammocks. We didn't use the small pool, as the reef protected sea is right there. Useful grocery shopping is a bit distant, but not onerous if you fill up for a few days at a time. Overall, a great place in a great area. We've been to this area twice now, and will likely return again, and we would have no hesitation returning to this unit.
Recommended for:Romantic getaway, age 55+, families with young children.

Thank you! It was fantastic! The ground floor unit is beautifully decorated, clean and private as well as perfect for easy in an out access to the beach! The wedding in Cayman Kai was great and many of the guests have all decided to choose the Retreat as their future vacation destination!!! It's location right next to Rum Point with the beautiful beach, restaurant and dive shop cannot be beat! The Fox family!
