Alpine Village Resort is located in the quite community of Swansea Point, just steps away from the public beach and boat launch of Mara Lake (feeds into Shuswap Lake).
Great location for water sport lovers, skiers and snowboarders, and the best place for sledding and quad trails. Suite 3 has a full kitchen with matching dishes and cutlery, pots pans, coffee maker, toaster and kettle (no microwave or dishwasher) private BBQ, wrap around deck with patio set, 37" flat screen TV w/ cable, wireless internet.
Three bedrooms include: master - bed King with French door walk out to balcony, queen bed and twin bed with additional pull-out and crib - bedding, duvet and pillows provided. Full bath with jet tub and stand up shower.
Suites newly renovated in Summer 2008; all new furniture, beds and appliances. 8 Minute drive to Sicamous for boat rentals, shopping and restaurants. 30 min to Salmon Arm, 40 min to Vernon. Are you traveling with Children? There is a summer day camp in the area for children ages 5 - 12 offering organized activities, arts and crafts, beach fun and more! Year Purchased: 2006
I live just outside Calgary, Alberta with my family; Husband Bill and daughter Danika. I bought Alpine Village Resort with my husband in 2006. Alpine Village Resort was a camp ground with 7 cabins and 21 camping stalls and a house. We developed the property into 18 lots consisting of 4 cabins and 13 RV lots and our House, which are now all privately owned (of course we kept the house). We decided in 2008 to convert our large house into three suites to rent out to the public. It was a fantastic experience for us.
Why the Owner Chose Sicamous
Swansea Point is a beautiful location; far from the noise of the Highway, secluded in its own little world. Yet we are only minutes away from Sicamous to get all the necessities. There are lots of mature trees, mountain and lake views. Plus the location to the lake/beach and boat launch is ideal. I fell in love right away. Once I am able to retire, my family will move here from Calgary.
The Unique Benefits of this Suite in Home
We have the best beds! Guests comments have stated that they want to take our beds home with them. We have top quality mattress' and memory foam pillows. You will sleep better than at home!
A suite guide has been prepared describing all the activities in the area, maps, and other info to get the best out of your trip.
We are extremely close to the boat launch and we have a large parking spot for a boat trailer.
There are many quad and sled trails in the near vicinity. A 40 minute drive to one of the best ski hills in Revelstoke and 40 mintues to the ski hill in Vernon.
