Our family celebrated 3 wonderful birthdays of our mother's 50th, Dad's 54th and brother 31st ! The house was very comfortable and worked out great for our lobster/steamer bake one day. This wonderful home was a great home for our first official family vacation, which includes three generations, nine adults and two children. Hope to return next year for another family vacation to this beautiful home.

Our family had a wonderful time on our first visit to Cape Cod. Your house was perfect for all of us. We had six adults, plus four small children. Having three bedrooms with baths attached worked out great. We had so much fun and made a lot of memories. Thank you for your hospitality.

We had a wonderful vacation in Chatham. Our stay in this lovely home was perfect for our four generations. Our week was filled with a variety of activities and we could not ask for a better weather.

We have reserved this house (the Chatham House, as we call it) for the third year in a row! We knew from the first time we saw the house (and met with the owner), with its numerous bedrooms, baths and central air amongst other amentities, that is would be a perfect fit for our family consisting of 6 adults and 4 growing grandkids. The living room accommodates all of us at the same time, as does the dining room table. The kitchen is stocked with plenty of dishware and utensils and the grandkids enjoy sitting at the roomy breakfast bar. Of course, the outdoor shower and deck, where we have enjoyed many a barbeque, are a big hit! The location of the house is very convenient to the beaches and the downtown area with its shopping and restaurants. Everyone loves the proximity to the bike path, and all of us are looking forward to this summer's vacation.

We said we'd be back and here we came! Second year at the house. We had a great week in chatham: beach, shows, shopping, P-town, mini golf, and lots of fun with the family. Our family really enjoyed this house, the BBQ, yard and living spaces. Thank you for a great 2nd week!

This house was OK. We have rented several vacation houses and this one seemed the least prepared. There was plenty of room for everyone. The house was average. There was a spider in the upstairs bathroon shower when we got there hanging out in the corner and mouse traps everywhere. It says there is a King bed in the upstairs master bedroom but really it is 2 twins slid together which made it impossible to sleep close to my husband as the middle where the beds came together was uncomfortable! We tried to vacuum before we left had to clean the vaccuum bag out before we could use it. Most of the houses we've been in has a book explaining where to find stuff, when trash day is and that type of stuff. This house did not. We finally found the bedding for the loft in a trunk on the last day. The location of the house was good. Easy access to Chatham, beaches and other attractions. I would not choose this home again.

Owner response:Our goal is to do the best we can to satisfy all potential renters. We have pest control service to make sure there is no pest and mice in the house. The mouse traps were put in by professionals which are all under the furniture and couches. None are visible. We send out 2 pages of information to all our tenants before they arrive, which includes trash pickup days (Monday and Thursday), and every possible things we can think of about staying in the house. We also have picture frames everywhere in the house indicating where you can find beddings, BBQ utensils, extra serving dishes, etc. We also provide cellular phones for tenants to call when they have questions and problems. For the king bed, we are not able to bring king-sized mattress due to the opening of the stairs, but we do have two additional comfortable queen sized master bed room in the house. We have professional cleaning service prior to tenants check in and check out. They bring their own vacuums. Tenants are not required to vacuum the house before checking out.

Perfect Holiday Getaway

We stayed in the home for a week over Christmas with 2 other couples (7 people and one infant). The house is very impressive. Three of the bedrooms are master bedrooms, with their own bathrooms. Each has a walk-in closet. The other bedroom has double beds with a gas fireplace. With so many people everyone could still get their privacy. It's obvious when the house was remodeled that it was with the rental market in mind. Everything is perfectly thought out. The house really has everything you need. We didn't even need linens, shampoo or dishsoap. The kitchen is huge and has all the pots/pans/utensils to cook for an army. The table can seat about 10; it worked out great for our Christmas dinner. The home is very clean and well built. It was a very comfortable place to relax; some days we never left. The house is located on Rte. 28 which might be an issue for some in the summer. For us, it was perfect as the house is so well built you couldn't hear anything and the traffic that time of the year is pretty low. The owners were very flexible and easy to deal with. On the first day there was an issue with the water heater. They sent a plumber out and the matter was taken care of within an hour or so. If you are looking for a very comfortable house in Chatham where you can just relax, you can't really go wrong. As soon as we walked in we knew it was the right place.

We just want to advise our future guests that although our house is on the Main Street, we planted forsythia hedges 6 years ago, they are wired fenced and is now about 5 ft tall. This also brings down the possible noise from the street. We have many guests that really like our house, they come back every summer

My family and I just spent a week in this lovely home. There were 10 of us and we couldn't have felt more at home. The owner was very pleasant and easy to do business with . The house was very well stocked and very clean. The grounds were well groomed. Plenty of room for all and children were very welcome in this house. I will be returning

We spent a week in June 2009 at this lovely home. We would certainly return, and would definitely recommend to friends. Thank you for a wonderful week! The house is beautiful and very comfortable. There were 8 of us, ranging in age from 4 to 93, and everybody was comfortable and loved that each bedroom has its own bathroom. The kitchen was the best stocked of any rental house we've ever been in -- and there are wonderful dining tables inside and out that are large enough for 8+ people. The location was perfect -- just close enough to Chatham that we could drive into town and enjoy all the charming restaurants and shops, and super close to a charming little beach that was not very crowded. We were also close enough to many other fun things to do on the Cape -- we visited everywhere from Hyannis to Provincetown! The owner was delightful to do business with -- very organized and conscientious, and very nice.
