Oak Bluffs is the most centrally-located village on the island, with a charming downtown, waterfront parks and the famed Victorian gingerbread cottages. Vineyard Haven, another lovely dining and shopping district, is just a few bike-able minutes away.
The Blue Canoe has two bedrooms, one with a queen bed and one with a double bed. There is a comfortable living room, with a large flat-screen TV, DVD, VHS, Wi-Fi, iPod dock and CD player. We recently stayed at the Blue Canoe for a week with two adults and two small children. The Blue Canoe was very comfortable, decorated in Vineyard fashion with a modern kitchen, washer/dryer, and enough room to spread out. For those who dont do well with stairs I would not recommend this since the bathroom is on the first floor and the bedrooms on the second floor. This property sits just outside of town so it is a 15min walk through a residential area and the beautiful gingerbread houses to get to town. With that said, it is very quiet but slightly removed. Our only problem with this property is that there is no air conditioning and it is not mentioned in this listing or the owners website. We were there during a heat wave and it was unbearable.Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 0/0

The Blue Canoe was a great place to stay! We were married on the Island, and stayed there for a week. The Blue Canoe truely displays the personality of the island. It was very comfortable and cozy for the two of us, and had everything we needed!Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 2/2
