Location: Paris Arrondissement 3, Paris, Ile-de-France (Paris Area), France, Europe View Map
Accommodations: Apartment, 2 Bedrooms + Convertible bed(s), 2 Baths (Sleeps 4-6)
Keywords: Apartment
This 750sqft apartment, fully refurbished in 2008, is located on 3rd floor (2nd French floor) of a XIXth century building in Northern Marais, a few steps away from the charming Square du Temple and 2 blocks away from the famous rue de Bretagne and its amazing open air market. Fully equipped, this 2 BR/2BA can sleep up to 6 persons, with 2 queen size beds and a very comfortable sofa bed in the living room.
The apartment contains a bright and large living/dining room with a fully equipped open kitchen, and two bedrooms, each with en-suite bathroom or shower room. One of the bedroom can be fitted with one queen size bed or two single beds, depending on your needs.
The entire apartment has been newly remodeled in Winter 2008 with careful attention to restore the apartment's original features (parquet floor, moldings, high ceilings) while at the same time providing all modern amenities and conveniences. It has been professionally decorated with a mix of modern comfortable furniture and some carefully chosen French antiques.
The living room area is equipped with a very comfortable (and easy-to-handle...) sofa bed. A splendid 'meuble de metier" found at the flea market can be used as a desk when checking your emails or writing some postcards... Cable TV (with CNN International and BBC World among others) and DVD player, hidden in another elegant antique piece of furniture, are also available in the living room.
Our large dining table can easily welcome 8 to 10 people, which will enable you to have friends coming over for dinner !
The first bedroom, overlooking the street, is nevertheless very quiet as traffic at night is close to zero... It is equipped with large built-in closets, a queen size bed, antique nightstand and has an en-suite shower room.
The second bedroom, overlooking the building courtyard, is also equipped with large built-in closets, a Tv and has its own very traditional en-suite bathroom. The beds can be adjusted as a queen size bed or two single beds depending on what you need.
Free DSL wifi Internet is available as well as free calls to landlines in the US, UK and several other countries. All related instructions, as well as operating instructions for household appliances and our best addresses in the neighborhood will be listed in a file at your disposal in the apartment.
The closest subway station is Republique (line 3, 5, 8, 11) giving you easy access to place de la Concorde, Opera, Bastille, etc.)
A Velib stop is just at the end of the street, on place de la Republique.
Bus lines 20 et 65 (place de la République) will take you in 5 mn to the Opera Bastille and in 10 mn to Gare de Lyon.
If you have young kids, you will really enjoy the vicinity of Square du Temple, just one block away from the apartment.
Two bakeries and a large supermarket are located just 3 mn away from the apartment.
On week-ends, we strongly recommend a stroll in the amazing "Marche des Enfants Rouges" located on rue de Bretagne, where you will even be able to enjoy a delicious brunch when the weather allows...

We were two couples each with a baby staying for a long weekend in Paris. We had a fabulous time. The flat has a great location with easy access to the Metro and all the Marias action. The flat itself is new and has everything one needs - including a washing machine and a computer. The best, however, is the owner and her Colleagues. They were there to assist us in booking restaurants and local recommendations. We couldnt have been happier!!! I recommend this flat to anyone traveling to Paris.

Hello, I just left this beautiful apartment, where I went to celebrate my 40th birthday with friends. Everything was perfect, located a fews steps from Republique metro station and a 5-minute walk from Marais and all the fun. Very modern and renovated bathroom, a spacious living room, internet wi-fi, and all the kitchen appliances necessary for a very confortable sejour à Paris!

My family and I stayed in the apartment for a weekend in January. It was the perfect base, near the metro yet in a quiet street. The apartment is as good as it looks in the photos. It's in an interesting neighbourhood, great for wandering about, finding interesting shops and sitting in cafes, and its easy to access all areas in Paris as the Metro at Republique is so close by. Easy for Eurostar - about 3 or 4 stops from Gare du Nord. Would highly recommend it.

Our family of 5 had a magical Paris experience which was greatly helped by the accomodation. This recently renovated property is secure, clean, very well presented, and the rental staff are extremely helful and best of all it is located brilliantly. We were approx. 100metres from the Metro (Republique stop) which we used every day. The Metro line takes you to within walking distance of all the major tourist attractions. We had a well appointed kitchen (supermarket is 2min walk) for the days we didn't try the many local restaurants (Bofinger the oldest Brasserie in Paris is walking distance) and the breakfast coffee and pastry shop were at the nearest corner. Tourist attractions were very easily accessed and many are within walking distance (we walked to Picasso's museum, the Bastille, Hard Rock Cafe, Place de Voges). The washer/dryer made it easy for a family to keep on top of the laundry. This property is perfect for travellers without a car, there is no parking available nearby but you don't need a car here. We thoroughly recommend Marais for your stay in Paris!

Our familyof 5 visited Paris in March 2009 and had a great time with this apartment as our home base. Close to subways, dining, markets, easy museum access on transportation and just great walking areas. Clean, fully equipped, nice neighborhood Just remember it is the city streetlights and some streetnoise will happen. Kids loved running to the corner bakery for bread and treats on their own! Property managers were very friendly, helpful and accomodating.

We felt home away from home right away .....with a 14 month old baby mind you! We still felt like we were on vacation which was the point of this trip. Truly a GEM in Paris. We had a very relaxed time and needed for nothing. We cannot wait to repeat the experience! See you next year! With much love, Natissa, Gary, Sheila, Ariane, Kalim
