Camp Jordan is located on a quiet residential street that is 3/4 of a mile to the beach or 1 mile to the village.
It has a large fenced in back yard so your children and family pet can run free. This was originally built as a day care center for 40 children until the neighborhood built up around it and the center moved to a larger location.
We have renovated the huge rooms into the perfect family, wedding party, (or baseball team) get away. Two of the bedrooms have 2 queen beds each in them but the "Boys Dorm" has two queens, two twins, and a sleep sofa.
The Riverwood Cross Country runners have spent some wonderful times here. Three families have shared it for an economical beach week. Wedding parties have taken it over and even hosted a "burgers in the backyard" rehearsal dinner here.
A 15% discount will apply for last minute rentals. Check in on Wednesday to see if the house is available for the coming weekend and save if it isn't already booked. You can not reserve the house in advance for this last minute deal.

Camp Jordan is unique, fun, and has plenty of room. Our only request is that you let us know if you break anything and have fun!!!

- A former Day Care Center in a residential neighborhood renovated by Atlanta Architect. The teenagers in our family named it "Camp Jordan" Bring your friends because there's plenty of room including a "boys dorm" room. Girls have been know to take it over too!!

Why the Owner Chose Private Homes
We bought our place at St. Simons because it's the most relaxed, happy, and easy going place you can imagine. Everyone there seems to be on island time and you find that you never want to leave.
The Unique Benefits at this House
We're a creative couple and we've definitely poured that into "Camp Jordan" There are two mannequins who live there named Agnes and Chuck. Agnes gets dressed up in wedding wear from time to time to remind Chuck that it's time to tie the knot. Actually I photograph weddings in the area and several of my wedding parties have stayed there.

The day care center was PERFECT for me and my family when my folks came for visit while we were in the middle of a major kitchen renovation at our own home on St. Simons. We had plenty of room for my parents and our family of four and could have invited two more familes to share with us! Such a great place to bring friends and share in the cost since everyone can have their own space and their own bathroom and then share the common area with Chuck and Agnes!! Highly recommend to anyone wanting to come with more than 8 people to the island ... there is plenty of room here!
Recommended for:Romantic getaway, people with disabilities, sightseeing, pet owners, adventure seekers, girls getaway, age 55+, families with young children, families with teenagers.

We stayed in this house for my sons wedding and held an after rehearsal low country boil here with approximately 45 people in the house. The house and patio area held the crowd with no problem. The only downside for me for this house was no Wi-Fi in the home. We had originally booked to leave on Monday but decided to stay an extra day. 7 people stayed the 5 days we were there with plenty of room. Would definately use this house again for a multi family trip
