We had a fantastic experience! The view of the river was beautiful and the location was excellent....close to local markets and restaurants and an easy 10-15 minute drive from downtown. We had our two year old with us so having the park right outside the front door was great. Kevin was very nice and helpful! :)

I rarely write reviews, but I must in this case. My family and I will definitely recommend this property. The property is clean, well maintained and a good location to Portland's attractions without being in the congestion. Thanks to the owners for a lovely stay.

My wife and I just got back from a vacation to Portland and Seattle, and we spent two nights in this apartment. We loved every minute of it. You rent a vacation home for the freedom to cook and have people over and things like that, and this place was perfect for those things, but it was even more than that. It was cozy and quiet and peaceful, and my wife and I could easily have spent a week there. It is the perfect place to wind down, cook dinner, and have a bottle of wine while looking out on the river from the deck after a day of exploring Multnomah Falls or trying to navigate downtown Portland. I really can't speak highly enough of this place, or the owner. He met us when we came in, he was very friendly, he showed us around the place and explained things to us. He even had a list of places to see and things to do and places to eat in Portland, as well as grocery store recommendations. We had to find some firewood for the fireplace/wood stove, but he was able to tell us where to get that too. And having a nice fire there was really nice too! Just a really wonderful place. If you are going to Portland and this place is available, even if only for a couple of days, you won't regret it!

Fabulous location, so close to downtown, yet in such a unique, picturesque setting. Close to park and on the water. We have stayed there twice, once in winter and once in summer. This January we watched bald eagles from the large deck. The house itself has everything we needed for our recent ten day stay. I especially loved the pebble-tiled shower floor and the wood burning stove in the living room. Easy access to downtown and restaurants and walking distance to grocery shopping. Two thumbs up!
Owner response:Thanks for the kind review. We are glad you enjoyed your time in Portland! -Kevin and Marisa

My husband and I stayed here for 5 nights and enjoyed every minute from the great view of the Willamette River to the nature walk down the block; and then there was the adjacent park which provided more walking and fun opportunities. And the owner, Kevin, is the best! He was so helpful and provided us with detailed maps (hand-drawn by him) whenever we needed to know where to go for something. And the shower was even powerful enough for me to wash my long hair!

This was the perfect property for a relaxing vacation. The balcony is awesome! It's right on the river. Great food in the neighborhood. Easy access to I-5, Lake Oswego, Tryon State Park for hiking, Lewis & Clark College and trail loops around the city. Don't pass this up!

First of all: yes, the view is as good as it looks! The unit is on the second floor, above the owners' unit, and looks directly onto the river, with only a beach between the unit and water. We spent many nice August evenings on the deck. Wildlife? We saw ospreys (nearly every night) and bald eagles. But if you like jet skis, we saw plenty of those as well. We were hoping for a place that was quiet and restful, but also where we could easily get into downtown. It also needed to be not too far from my sister in Lake Oswego. The unit was perfectly located. We were hoping to do a lot of our transportation by bicycle. Since we had our nearly-five year old daughter along, that meant a trailer bike for her and not too many hills for us. There was a great bike route along the river into downtown (but not into Lake Oswego). We used it for multiple tourist adventures. As for our child, there were two playgrounds in the park just outside the door. For us, the details of the unit were not so important beyond it being comfortable, clean, and well maintained. The owners came through on all counts. Finally, just a plug for Portland, if you are choosing where to go. My wife and I have somewhat different criteria, but we both loved it, and would like a repeat visit. Oh yes, if you wish to live without a car you can do it. There is full size grocery within 3 blocks, mostly through a park, and then many bikeway and public transportation possibilities. Of course, winter could make this a bit more moist.

My daughter and I stayed in this property for a couple days in March. It is lovely, has everything a guest could want, is very comfortable and well maintained. The owners are very helpful and friendly. The view is especially nice and the location so convenient to downtown Portland and right next to a park along the river. We would gladly come back!
