We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in your home. It suited us perfectly. One of us had never been to our country's capitol so it was with pleasure that we could show off all of our her knowledge with her.

We had a party of 9 (4 adults and 5 kids) stay for a week (4/21/12-4/28/12). The home was very clean and spacious for our needs and the kids especially enjoyed their rooms and private TV's. The house was also very centrally located to the train station which we used every day. The desription and photos of the home were very accurate so we felt very pleased that we got what we were expecting. Lisa and her staff were wonderful to work with and very receptive to making our stay wonderful. We would definately recommend this house to others traveling to DC. Thank you Lisa for sharing your home with us! Lynda B. Milton Vermont

We enjoyed our stay in Washington DC. Love the city. The house was very nice but a little further from town than I would have liked. Cleaner than some hotels we have stayed in. New appliances, nice TVs in every room with cable. Great neighborhood, very quiet, with a lovely seminary right across the street. Lots of birds and squirrels to watch. People here are very friendly and helpful. House is tri-level, so not good for bad knees. Downtown and Mall are easy to access via Bus and Metro, however, the weekend bus schedule requires timing or you could end up waiting an hour for the next bus - or walking! Having a car is a plus, plenty of parking on the street. The house is wonderful, WOULD RECOMMEND; giving it four stars only because it is a bit of a distance from town.

We enjoyed our stay at this property. The kitchen had been recently remodeled and was very nice. The downstairs bathroom also had a new shower and it was well done. We found the location to be very good and easy to get to the local Metro stations. With the recent renovations we were the first occupants and the owner addressed a couple of minor problems very quickly and effectively. We would recommend this property to anyone wishing to have a home away from home in the DC area.

A very nice home. Great city to visit and enjoyed our stay. We enjoyed your home very much and found it to be very convenient to the Metro and to driving to the BWI airport and other places we went to when we were not using the Metro. Comfortable house and happy to recommend.

This was the first time we had ever rented a house instead of staying at a hotel, and I have to say, I will do it everytime from now on! This home was a joy! The place was immaculate, and the rooms well thought out. The sheets and blankets on the beds were wonderful, and the bathtowels were to die for. Everyone, from my 6 year old grandson (who wanted to live there forever!) to my 83 year old mother in law loved the place. It was great to come home after a day of sight seeing. I highly recommend this house. The only thing I would change is the round glass coffee table in the living room. It is not attached to the base, and slides very easily off. If you are looking for a great place in Washington, DC, STAY HERE!!!

Everything worked out well for our family of 8. Two issues may need to be addressed - the drain in the hall bathroom tub didn't drain very well, and the tub filled while people took showers?? Also, we couldn't get the wireless to work, but that wasn't really a problem.

Great house. Very clean - including spotlessly clean linens. Well equipped kitchen. The mattresses are all firm - so if you want something softer you may want to pack a topper. Metro station just over a mile.

Great location and big enough for an extended family of nine. Enjoyed sitting and reading on front porch. Also close proximity to Metro (West Hyattsville) with cheap daily parking. We were were lucky enough to have one great week of weather and thoroughly enjoyed our trip to D.C. This was so great an experience renting a house that we will definitely try doing it again. Thanks for everything.

This house was a great value for our family of 5 attending our daughter's college graduation. The neighborhood was so peaceful. The was ample parking, and plenty of room in the house to spread out. It was exactly as described by the owner, who was responsive and prompt when I needed her. The house is convenient to the metro, and grocery shopping. I would recommend this property. It was clean and well maintained.

Listing & photos were accurate. Clean & maintained. Owner very prompt & helpful. We recommend this property. Easily accommodated our group of 7 people. Property location had excellent access via public transport to visit downtown Washington. Overnight parking available on the street or at rear of property. Small kitchen, minimal kitchen cookware & grocery storage.

We had a very nice stay in the house. It was very comfortable for our family of six. Being very close to the Metro bus stops made it convenient to get up and go quickly. The neighborhood is very quiet. Our children enjoyed having TVs in their rooms with a wide variety of channels. A vacation treat for them! Washington D.C. is an awesome place! The people are friendly and there is so much to do! One of our favorite things was going to the zoo and seeing the Panda Bears. Mount Vernon and the Smithsonian were very fun and interesting as well! What a wonderful time we have had on vacation! Thank you D.C. and Lisa for your hospitality. Fairbanks, Alaska

We had a great stay. Our son's wedding in Baltimore was beautiful. This is a great location for all the tourist sites. Very comfortable for all seven of us. Please use the Metro passes and pass them on. Saves $5.00 if you don't have to buy card. Either Fort Totten or Hyattsville stations are very convenient to house. We had a wonderful time. Thanks

We came to DC for our son's wedding with other family and friends-a total of 10 around the wedding-all were comfortable and no one ran out of hot water! Our favorite thing was the quiet of the front porch-listening to crickets-at the end of several hectic days. Lisa was amazing! So kind, so helpful and the house fit us perfectly. The neighbors are friendly-the streets safe to walk- we would rent again. Thanks Lisa for all the Love-and the wine. Sincerely with all thankfulness

My husband and I rented this home for our son's wedding on October 9, 2010, at Christ Church on Capital Hill in Washington DC. The basement room and half bath made a perfect "guy room" for the three single men who were our guests, complete with flat screen TV, computer and printer, and lots of reading material. The owner was kind enough to provide an extra mattess and bedding for the third guy, so each had their own bed with plenty of room to hang clothes and move around. The laundry room was well equipped with plenty of detergent, bleach, etc. and the kitchen was immaculately clean and with plenty of dishes. The night before the wedding we had 10 people sleeping comfortably in the house...the tenth slept on the large comfy sofa in the living room. There was plenty of hot water and towels so all our guests were able to dress for the 10am wedding. There's a large dining table where we all gathered each morning with our laptops and we had a sit down dinner for 10 people the day after the wedding using the wonderful grill in the backyard to cook steaks. Even with TVs in every bedrooms, the computer and the great stereo, our evenings were quiet after hectic days on Capital Hill and were spent sitting on the front porch listening to crickets, talking, and relaxing. While sitting on the front porch we saw many squirels in the park-like setting around the home and several deer actually walked down our street. The National Arboretum is an easy drive from the house and we spent a quite afternoon there hiking and feeding the Koi Fish. We also made a drive to a nearby Costco in Maryland for supplies for the home. There's adaquate parking in the back yard of the home and on the street in front. Lisa, the owner, is more than accommodating and very kind. She truly helped to make our stay and the celebration of our son's marriage an event we will never forget.

The "Love Nest" was great. We stayed for four days. There were 7 of us, one being a two month old baby. We had plenty of spacious room. As you stated, everything was easily within walking distance or a few miles down the road. This made a great family vacation.

This was a great home-away-from-home! It was comfortable, well-equipped, and in a nice, quiet neighborhood. Easily accessible to buses, the Metro and a small market. Reasonably priced. The owners were easy to work with, communicated well, and answered all of our questions promptly. I would highly recommend this rental vacation home, and would definitely stay there again.

This charming house is very welcoming and We had a wonderful experience. It is about a block and a half from a bus stop that takes you directly to the Brookland CUA Metro Stop on the Red Line, but if you'd prefer to walk, it is a quick mile away. The neighborhood is mostly residential and we felt very safe. Initially, we experienced a few difficulties with the house, but Sheri offered quick and friendly assistance, with which we were very pleased. A DC hotel room would have cost us $300 a night and because there were seven of us, we would have had to book at least two rooms. This was an incredible savings and a much better experience for the group. We would definitely stay here again.
