You are also close to great shopping in Nisswa, Pequot Lakes and Cross Lake along with world class golfing. Pan fish and Northerns can be caught right off the dock. The lake is also well known for its large mouth bass. A 24' pontoon and 14' fishing boat are also available for rent.

We had a really great experience on Lake Ossawinnamakee. The owners were truly accommodating in every way. Their caretaker was friendly and paid attention to every detail This is surely a home away from home. The lake home had every amenity one could possibly imagine and others we never knew we needed. The home was spotless upon our arrival. Many things were provided even though we brought our own. The weather was perfect! We had warm days and cool evenings. How is it that the rainy weather always seemed to take a detour around us? The lake water was really warm. Lake O. is a quaint little lake with lots of smaller bays. We rented the pontoon and took a ride around the lake every day. We did lots of fishing, though we didn't have tons of luck. Lake O. is a pretty weedy lake, but we were able to find a sand bar to swim off of. Our lake neighbors were a blast. My kids had tons of fun fishing off the dock, swimming, and just hanging out with them. We had one windy day, so we went into Pequot and shopped. Even though it was windy, the lake was never rough. Anyone who rents this lovely home will not be disappointed. The Crowders really aim to please. We couldn't have been more satisfied with their hospitality. They even called to check in on us and to make sure everything was up to snuff. We all believe this was one of our favorite vacations ever. Thanks so much to Karen, Ray, and Jennifer for going out of their way to make this a week to remember. Blessings to you all!

We have just completed are second year at this property and have booked a third year! It truly looks just like the photo's and is very clean and has anything you might need. The home is very nicely furnished and the owners and caretaker truly "care" about your stay! If your looking to kick back and have some real R & R we suggest this property. We did rent the pontoon with our week and it added lots of flexibilty for the family to fish and go for an evening ride to enjoy the beautiful sunset!
Recommended for:Romantic getaway, age 55+, families with young children.

We enjoyed our week long stay at this lakehome very much! The lake is great, it's quite large so there are many areas to fish and lots of scenery to look at. We rented the pontoon boat that was available so that really helped get the most out of the lake so I would highly recommend renting the boat or bringing your own. The sand beach was great, my young toddler who had never played in the sand before loved sitting on the beach and venturing out into the shallow water to pick up rocks! The home looks just like it did in the pictures, a very well manicured lawn, the deck was very nice, the house was clean upon arrival. The owners were very helpful when I had questions over email about various details. The only real negative thing to consider in the future for us would be that the home doesn't have air conditioning which is not unusual for a house on a lake, however we had a couple very hot days which made it hard for the baby to sleep. But other than that, we LOVED our stay and will consider coming back! Oh and for attractions and activities we recommend- for little ones Paul Bunyan Land is a must, there was nice shopping in Pequot Lakes and Nisswa. Golfing at Breezy Point was nice and turtle races in Nisswa on Wednesdays in the summer is a big attraction!
