You will love our brand new contemporary home with traditional Mexican architectural touches, now open for vacation rentals in the up-and-coming El Centenario district. The location affords you the opportunity to enjoy a relaxing and serene environment while at the same time being only 15 minutes from downtown La Paz and in easy reach of some of the most stunning beaches in Baja. Situated on a gradual incline less than a mile from the Bay of La Paz, it provides expansive views of the bay and the city of La Paz on the opposite shore. The nearest sandy-white beaches with their turquoise waters are less than 15 minutes away by car.
The unique architectural design of the house blends organically with the desert environment while the sliding doors of all the main rooms open to create an integrated indoor/outdoor living space. The house has been constructed with many natural materials and furnished with locally crafted furniture, with the intention of being a true retreat from everyday living.
The main house contains a spacious great room opening up to an outdoor living space shaded by a traditional pergola made of palo de arco, and Mexican pine logs. The great room and patio provide panoramic views of the sea and the nighttime city lights. There is a large guest bedroom and bathroom on the north side of the house. The master bedroom and bathroom are housed in a separate structure connected by an outer corridor.
Both bedrooms have sliding glass walls that open to separate patio decks overlooking the desert and the view of La Paz Bay. The rooms are all bathed in natural light as much as possible.
Beautifully landscaped with cactus and native plants from the local mountains you cannot help but feel close to the natural ecosystem as cardinals, Mexican Bluejays and a variety of hummingbirds color your mornings. Furnishings throughout the house are sourced from native furniture makers and artisans, although those pieces depicted in the photos are subject to updates from time to time.
We offer a tranquil living space at a very affordable price because we have no extras – this is a retreat to get away from the day-to-day hustle and bustle. This place allows you to just "be’. Take pleasure in what La Paz offers – unbeatable fishing, sailing, whale watching, snorkeling and scuba diving in gorgeous turquoise waters. Stroll through downtown La Paz and hunt for bargains in the variety of shops.
Our property is adjacent to a larger vacation rental featured on this website (#171190) which offers other amenities such as satellite TV, internet connectivity, infinity swimming pool, hot tub, fire pit, jacuzzi tub, and more. We have an arrangement where you may for an additional cost access the use of the swimming pool, hot tub, and fire pit, but only if the property isn't separately rented out. In fact, the two houses can be rented out together in case you have a large party of guests – altogether both can accommodate up to 16 people comfortably.

Frolicking along a secluded beach along the Bay of La Paz that is within 5 miles of my house.
Why the Owner Chose La Paz
La Paz is such a lovely provincial town with warm, friendly people, that we just grew very enamored of it. My friends found this place, and I caught their excitement and enchantment with the area. The desert surroundings are beautiful and peaceful - you can really see the expanse of stars in the night time sky. We are so close to pristine beaches and the water is clear enough to see the fish swimming around in it from above.
The Unique Benefits of this House
The El Centenario area is a quiet, peaceful development which is easily accessible to La Paz city, beaches, local golf course, and recreational boating and fishing. With the backdrop of the Bay of La Paz in the distance, it offers a very relaxing setting if you just want to get away from it all.
