The Lake Marion Resort is a gated resort community perfect for recreational activities and relaxation. Your drive from the Orlando International airport is through country roads of the true Florida, with palm tree groves and orange orchards along the road, and some older historical buildings. It is truly a break from the hustle and bustle of the theme park area of Orlando. The club house offers you a heated swimming pool and spa for the grown-ups, a separate kids' pool and playground. There is a full court for basketball, several tennis courts and the inviting clubhouse with its Fitness Center, billiard table, entertainment center and complimentary wireless internet, all available to you while you stay at the villa. Should you be a golf enthusiast, there are 5 world class golf courses within 10 minutes: SunAire, Diamond Back, Greenlefe, Stonegate, and Southern Dunes.
We named our lovely house Villa Amour - the Villa of Love, because we came into possession of it on Valentine's day. You’ll stay in comfort, in a spacious air conditioned house offering three bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, dining room, and a fully equipped kitchen with stove, refrigerator, microwave, dishwasher, washer and dryer. The floor is completely tiled through out the villa, so it's easy on anyone with allergies. You will have a great view of the pond, the club house and the gorgeous sunset while dining on the house’s enclosed / screened-in patio.

Why the Owner Chose Lake Marion Resort
The nature and wild life around the resort and property; so very different from many other resorts in the Orlando/Kissimmee area.
The Unique Benefits of this Villa
Watching the baby croc sunbathing in the pond facing our patio.
Other wildlifes spotted at the resort (sometimes in view from our villa): eagle, owls, armadillos, foxes. Sometimes some people can fish big fish from the lake.
Of course, we love the baby (or kiddy) pool at the club house too considering we have 2 littles ones who likes to splash.

The owner of this property was great to work with. We had a nice time. Our only complaints were that the air conditioner didn't seem to be working very well. We discovered the filter needed to be replaced, so we just did it ourselves. The villa also seemed to be far away from all of the tourist attractions. Which is nice if you want to get away & relax, but not if you have kids wanting to go & do things everyday. But overall, very nice place for the price.

we are now finishing up our second stay at this villa and are very much looking forward to our third in 2012. we have enjoyed our stay so much we placed a welcome sign on the door that says " welcome to our nest". and that says it all. The owners are very reasonable and flexable and are open to all suggestions to make your stay comfortable. The property is very clean and well maintained. The Lanai faces a pond where you can see all sorts of water life and birds and watch beautiful sunsets. There are lots of eateries just 15 minutes away in Winter Haven and shopping at Eagelridge mall and surrounding areas. It feels a little far from Disney and International Drive area butyou soon get used to it and realize what a pleasure it is to come "home" to a quiet, relaxing villa. I would reccomend this villa to everyone but may be a bit more suited to young families and older generation

My wife and I took a long cruise which ended at Cape Canaveral. We decided to take several days on land around Orlando to relax before going home. The resort is very peaceful and the setting couldn't be more beautiful and natural. The back porch overlooks the big pond and the forest which is a Florida State Wild Life Reserve. We could see cranes, eagles and little alligator at the back of the house. We took leisure walks to the marina on Lake Marion after meals. The house is spacious and clean. The masterbedroom has ensuite and the bedroom also faces the pond so it's really nice to nature from the window on the bed. We enjoyed the stay and we will go back.

The rental amenities were clean and comfortable. The photos reflect the serene surroundings and the villa seemed quiet and layed back. It is a nice place to come and relax. The villa staff and the owner were most helpful getting us settled. For us it was a bit too cold to swim but the pool was warm and the facilities were very well maintained. However, we didn't get settled for long as the kids wanted to get off to Disney World. We were there visiting Disney World with our kids for six days and they had a blast. If you come to visit Disney it is a 45 min. drive along well maintained roadways. We mostly ate food that we brought along with us to the theme parks, but ate some meals in Disney, especially around Epcot. If you are going to travel around a bit I suggest bringing a GPS. Some of our friends have booked the villa, and we will certainly be back ! thanks so much for a memorable stay. cheers

Me and my family recently stayed at Lake Marion Resort and it was very very nice and accommodating. Our Villa we stayed in literally had a 10 foot walk to a deck on a lake and to the right we were 12 feet away from a top of the line clubhouse. The Clubhouse had a full gym, pool table, ping pong table, big screen TV, and a Hugh pool. The villa we stayed in was very clean and up to date including everything we needed and more. If you are looking for a quiet area that is a short distance to Orlando area attractions this is a real bargain. We highly recommend this property and will stay again next time we visit.
