On the active side, you can ride, or walk, or run, on the Tow Path. You can practice bicycle Road Racing on route 29 between Stockton and Frenchtown (About 15 miles). Or you can go tubing down the Delaware. Using one of a number of companies that will supply the raft and drop you off and pick you up.
If relaxing is more your speed, you can visit New Hope or Lambertville or just walk around the quaint town of Stockton. In Stockton you will find 3 excellent restaurants, one of which is located in an historic inn, the famous “Stockton Inn”, an old watering hole dating back to when streets were unpaved and cars were horses. In addition, there is a Deli, an Art Gallery and a Liquor Store in town all within a pleasant short walk. Just a few miles down the road you will find Lambertville, known for its high quality Antique shops as well as craft, Jewelry and additional restaurants. Walk across the bridge from Lambertville to New Hope and experience a totally different character and group of stores and sites at this, the cultural center of Bucks County, known for its Bucks County Play House.
After just your first visit to Stockton, you will not want to leave. It’s an idyllic place to spend some quality time.
