We welcome you to enjoy Wintergreen, to retreat, relax and renew. This home, located in the Wintergreen Resort has fabulous views that are visible from nearly every room in the home, abundant natural light and great gathering spaces for large groups. Want privacy? There are 5 bedrooms, each with it's own bath, for private resting places.
The home is on a lovely wooded lot on a very private cul de sac. It provides easy access to all the resort amenities, but is out of the congestion and traffic. The home is very near several trail heads and the hiking is wonderful. Great opportunities for observing the animals and birds that make Wintergreen their home. The serenity and views are delightful. The back of the home has large decks on two levels and very interesting rock formations that set the stage for taking in the view. Travelers with disabilities or young children will appreciate the flat lot and the easy access into the home.
Upon entry there is a vestibule with a full laundry room to the right. This floor has two bedroom suites. One with two twin beds and one with a king. Both bedrooms have spectacular views and private baths with double vanities. There is a large family room with a wood burning stone fireplace. The family room has extensive windows to enjoy the view and there is access out to the ground level deck.
Up one floor is the main level of the home. It has a large well equipped kitchen, a large dining area with seating for 12, a great room with wood paneled cathedral ceilings and a large stone wood burning fireplace. These rooms all have either windows or sliding glass doors that look out on the view. Be sure to enjoy the glorious sunrise from the great room while you are there. The deck with ample seating and gas grill are accessed from this level. There is a master suite with a king size bed and a private bath with double vanities on this level. There is also a cozy bedroom with a queen bed and a private bath. On the third level of the home you will find an additional master suite with a king bed, great views, and a private bath with a double vanity.
This home is perfect for a women's spa or tennis outing, a men's golf or skiing outing, a group of educators attending a Wintergreen Nature Foundation Event, 5 couples who want to vacation together but want their privacy and their own bathroom, or multiple families looking to share a vacation retreat. We will also work to accommodate church youth groups.

We have rented this home over a number of years. This year was outstanding...except for the the London fog that was imported for Sunday. Good day for a warm fire , reading and family games. This home is large enough to bring our entire family ,kids,wives and grand kids. Everyone fits around the table and rooms are separated so kids can play video games and adults can read and talk and never overlap.. Very nice place!Recommended for: Age 55+, romantic getaway, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway.

Terrific house! Great lay-out and wonderful views. Close to hiking trails. We had a family of 10 (7 adults and 3 kids) and the house was perfect - plenty of room and comfortable common areas. We plan to rent this house again soon.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, families with young children, sightseeing.

We spent a peaceful week in this lovely home, which was exactly as described in the listing. We had a slight problem with one of the skylights that had not been closed properly, but the property management resolved it within a few hours. I highly recommend this home for a peaceful family vacation, particularly if you love to watch the sunrise.... it is breathtaking!Recommended for: Romantic getaway, families with teenagers, girls getaway, sightseeing.

We stayed at the property for three nights and it was wonderful! There were 12 of us in our group, Grandparents, Aunts, Uncles, teenagers, and young kids, and there was not one time where we felt crowded. The house is very clean and the kitchen is well stocked. I think one of the best features is just about every room in the house has its own thermostat including the restrooms, so at night everyone was comfortable sleeping. The view is fantastic! It was a great weekend and we look forward to making this a winter tradition.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, people with disabilities, romantic getaway, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, sightseeing.

This was our first time staying at this house but it definentely won't be the last! Very spacious house with bathrooms aplenty. Gorgeous views from back of house. Large kitchen and a table that was able to accommodate everyone in our party. Owners were very quick to respond to questions. Great place to stay for a skiing weekend.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, pet owners, families with teenagers, girls getaway, sightseeing.

You had us sold the moment we walked in. The mud room, foyer is huge, plenty of room for shoes, coats for all 14 of us. As soon as you walk into the lower level you see the phenomenal views across the valley. On the middle level, those views wouldn't be compromised even in the middle of the summer. The bed/bath setup for each bedroom is excellent, lots of room, storage and privacy. The beds are EXCELLENT! The stone fireplaces are huge and we had a roaring fire every night. Thanks so much!Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, pet owners, families with teenagers, girls getaway, sightseeing.

The house was very open and the views were amazing! very clean and comfortable. the only down side was we traveled with a large group and went through many trash bags and had to put our trash in our cars and bring it to the dumpster ourselves, that was less than fun. Overall very nice.Recommended for: Sightseeing.

This rental was as described in the listing and the owner was very responsive to calls and emails. The home is beautiful and was perfect for our group of 9 women. Because the house is on top of the mountain-it doesn't have AC. Several of the windows are inoperable which was a problem because one of the days we were there it was quite hot. We were able to hike to a waterfall, swim in the pool, take the Zip line and do the Plunge (downhill tubing which was very fun!). The overlooks on the resort are beautiful. Overall we had a really nice visit.Recommended for: Families with teenagers, girls getaway.

About the owner: As a Coast Guard family, the Blue Ridge Mountains have always called us back as we lived in coastal areas all over the country. Our college age children have gone to school nearby and have very fond childhood memories of camping in the mountains of Virginia.
