This is possibly the best vacation we have ever experienced. The view from the 14th floor was to kill for. Everything was just as described in the VRBO ad and the free beach rental was a bonus. The person who complained about the condo being in front of the elevator must have been there during spring break when the kids are always roudy. We didn't here a thing during or stay and the convience of the elevator being in front of the condo was a blessing. I wiil stay again and would HIGHLY reccomend it to anyone.

My husband and I stayed here during September 2010. We have stayed in various units at The Summit over the past several years, but I have to say that this unit is by far the nicest we have ever stayed in. It is beautifully decorated, very modern, extremely clean, and has everything you will need other than food and clothing. The view was awesome. The owners are a pleasure to work with, and they go the extra mile to make sure that everything is as it should be. Barb actually called us during the week just to make sure there were no problems and to see if anything needed to be taken care of. The added bonus of having beach chairs and an umbrella waiting for us each and every day was fantastic. We always enjoy being at The Summit, and we stay there year after year. From now on, one of Barb's units will be our first choice.

This was our first family vacation and we had good time. The view was great from the balcony. The condo had a nice decor and was clean. I have to point out that I wish I was told that the condo was located directly in front of the elevators. It was loud all day and night. Plus the master bedroom is located in the front of the condo by the front door. All night long there are people coming and going through the elevators. The elevators are lit up all night also, so there is light spilling into the room all night. I wish I was told up front about the location of the condo, since we didn't get a good night sleep all week. The only other thing that would be nice is if the televisions were upgraded. Both tv's are old, they need to be upgraded to HDTV. Overall he had a good time at P.C. Beach. The condo owner was helpful when we need to talk to her. It was a pretty cool thing to be able to walk out on the beach directly from the condo. When driving around I saw a lot of people having to cross streets to get to the beach. In short we would love to go back to P.C. Beach on vacation again, but I don't think we would stay in the same room.
Owner response:Sorry that you were not happy staying in our condo. We try very hard to please our guest-- as of date have never had a negative comemt concerning the location of our unit. The week before Memorial Day--was a week that many owners rented to high school graduates that were coming to Panama City Beach. I personally did not rent to those young guest but some other owners allow high school graduates to rent. That week is usually a very rowdy and loud crowd as well as when Spring Break is in town for the month of March. Many of our guests that rent this unit return year after year and ask for this unit. My husband and I stayed in unit 1307 from May 29--June 5 2010 and had a very good vacation. Barb and Howie's unit was very clean and also updated. We have stayed at the Summit several times and this unit was one of the nicer ones we have rented . We love to go to P.C. Beach and always enjoy the Summit. The staff there is always friendly . Our daughter and her family lived in Panama City and we never had a problem with them visiting at the Summit when we're there. We also enjoy having the snack bar and tiki bar at the resort. There are good restuarants nearby if you don't want to cook. We usually bring our own beach chairs but Barb and Howie have included the rental of the beach chairs and service with the unit. We enjoyed that extra bonus. I would recommend Barb's and Howie's rentals and also the Summit. Hopefully we will rent from them again

My family (my husband 31 myself 30 and 2 children ages 7 and 11) stayed here in June of 2009. I have to say it was amazing! The view from the balcony was spectacular! We were able to watch the dolphins out playing every morning from the balcony. Sitting on the balcony watching the sunset is by far the best I have seen. There are no interuptions in your line of sight. You have a panoramic view of the ocean. There are delicious resturants within walking distance. There is a Tiki bar on site which is perfect for sipping cold adult beverages on the ocean front. The staff at The Summit is also very kind. I am sure I am not answering all the questions you have, but believe me when I say you can't go wrong by choosing one of Barb's condos. Allthough you might read quite a few bad reviews by doing a google search about the summit, as we did, DON'T let that stop you from renting this condo. Barb is the best. Her condo is very clean and modern! We almost didn't rent here because we had read some pretty bad things about The Summit. That would have been a huge mistake. Our stay was peaceful and delightful! We have ZERO complaints about our stay! Thanks Barb for such an amazing experience. We will allways be greatful for the condo owners you are. You made us feel like the condo was our own home. We will be returning to Florida in the summer of 2011 and you can bet we will be renting from you!
