Are you seeking a lasting coastal memory? Windwhistle lends itself to families and couples looking for a get-away. It is an ideal retreat for your reunion, book club, hiking club, gourmet cooking group.
An open beach lies between the bookends of Haystack Rock & Hug point and stretches for miles in either direction. Relax on an extra large southern facing deck for private sunbathing, playing games, or having breakfast in the sun. Play Bocci or badmitten in the large backyard with a forested buffer, have evening bonfires on the beach right in front of the house. Body surf, and jump the waves.
Close enough to Cannon Beach (about 2 miles) to enjoy all the amenities (live theater, fully stocked grocery stores, a great fresh fish store, wonderful gourmet restaurants, lots of coffee shops)and yet far enough away to enjoy the peace off the touristy beaten path. It's at the end of a dead end lane.
There are 2 extra large second floor ocean view bedrooms each with 1 double & 2 single beds. The main floor master area has an old fachioned soaking tub in addition to a seperate shower with a seat and a huge mirrored counter with 2 sinks.
The kitchen has a wonderful antique harvest table that seats 10, a well stocked pantry with cooking/baking staples including an extensive spice/herb drawer. All the basics you need to create your own gourmet delight.
The views are unparalleled, with Haystack Rock to your north and Hug Point to your south.

We have been experiencing the magic of Windwhistle for over 25 years. Every summer we have a "girls gathering" for the women in our family. It began when our daughters were babies, and now the next generation of little ones are joining us as well. It is hard to imagine our history as a family without those 2 magical weeks - walks on the beach, coffee in front of the stone fireplace, naps, good books, laughter, and lingering conversations over dinner. Every year - come what may - we all do what it takes to make our way back to Windwhistle for yet another week of new memories and shared history. The owners are wonderful to work with, and make you feel like you are part of the family. We are already talking about our upcoming time there this year, and needless to say... We can't wait!!
