Northlight villa is custom designed by its architect owner. The open plan design lends itself to easy relaxed peaceful living with cool ridge breezes and spectacular Caribbean sea view.
The main house includes a full size American pool table, large covered dining/living deck, private bedroom deck, secluded plunge pool and sunbathing deck. ( The plunge pool is exclusive to clients renting the Villa - not available to the studio - unless the Villa itself is vacant ).Wireless internet access is installed in both Villa and Studio.Long term renters welcome at a special rate. A car is really necessary to explore our beautiful island, - we can organise car hire if required however local cabs are readily available and reasonably priced. Maid service can be arranged at $30usd daily if required.
There is a semi-detached studio apartment complete with bathroom, kitchenette,queen size bed and its own uncovered outside deck - sleeps two persons can be booked separately or together with Northlight Villa - enquire for rates-

Northlight is adjacent to the prestigious Sandy Lane Golf Course and just one mile from beautiful Paynes Bay and Sandy Lane beaches. Good shopping, restaurants and entertainment are within a three mile radius.

Hi everyone ,let me introduce ourselves , your hosts whilst renting Northlight Villa.
Aubrey ,an Architect, originally from Canada, has lived here in Barbados for 42 years, I am just a "newcomer" having moved here from the UK 10 years ago. We both love this friendly ,beautiful island and are so happy for it to be our home. We still love exploring, pic-nics on the beach, walking our dog Pepper early mornings before the sun is too strong for her and socialising with friends watching the incredible sunsets at our local beach bar.
Why the Owner Chose Holders
Northlight Villa was not bought as a rental house. It was our home until 5 years ago when we moved into a pretty wooden cottage ( which Aubrey designed and built )just a couple of minutes walk away after realising that we really didn't need all the space in Northlight just for the 2 of us.
The Unique Benefits of this Villa
Enjoy an early morning walk on Paynes Bay ( just a 3/4 minute drive away )hardly a soul on the beach except local fishermen .Go snorkelling on the reef or swim/sunbathe in the safe calm waters of the Caribbean Sea. Take a pic-nic to the wilder side of the island , the East Coast.
Take a sail on a Catamaran for the day , have lunch and swim with the turtles. Buy "catch of the day" from the local fishmarket and bring it home to BBQ. Have a rum with the locals in a 'rum shop".Enjoy a cocktail on the deck and watch the sunset. Let us book you a masseur to come to the house and have a massage in the private garden, and so much more .

I stayed here for 2 weeks with my 3 small children and my parents. The villa is wonderful. They had everything you could possibley need for young children including sand toys, games, highchair, crib, stroller, car seats. It made travelling with the children much easier. The villa was very large with lots of places for them to explore. Aubrey and Norma were very helpful while we stayed there and offered great recomendations of what we should do. We had a wonderful Bajan vacation.

My wife and I recently rented the Northlight Villa from Norma and Aubrey for a week. It was wonderful to experince the true atmosphere and surroundings of Barbados. The villa is close enough to walk to the ocean or to a polo field where you may get to enjoy a match as we did. The villa is surounded by the island flora and fauna including a local family of monkeys. Although very well located we highly recommend renting a car from Jaqui Lee, Norma's friend. After Aubrey picked us up at the airport and delivered us to the villa, Jaqui Lee met us there with the rental. We want to personally thank Norma and Aubrey for making this vacation week trully enjoyable. In today's world with the high costs of flying, eating, room and board we were able to enjoy a long distance vacation at a very reasonable price.

My wife, daughter, and I rented the Villa with another family of 3 for a week. The pictures really don't do justice to the size and character of this villa. Lots of patio space overlooking the water about a mile away. Plunge pool to entertain the kids and adults. Pool table and TV areas. Lots of places for families travelling together to sneak away to for some quiet time. In fact, we could have probably have had another family with us without feeling cramped. Norma and Aubrey went above and beyond to help us plan and get settled once we were there. Many of the items we rely on for small children (stroller, high chair, car seat, cribs, beach items, etc) were already there which made our suitcases allot lighter (and left more room for rum ;-). As for location, a car definitely makes things easier to get around. This could be said of the whole island, however, since there's so much to see and the Villa is in a central location to see the other coasts, etc. Highly recommend staying at the Northlight and hope to return some day soon! a great villa in a wonderful setting with every thing you might need provided for you- and more. very friendly and helpful owners, nothing is too much trouble for them. ideal position for exploring the whole island, car essential. we had a memorable two weeks.
