A real DREAM HOUSE!
A real DREAM HOUSE!

If you are looking for a place to relax and feel like at home, take this amazing house! I was expected to see the property just as a nice clean house, but this place was a real dream house. You will find in the kitchen all you need for family cooking, the table is huge, all rooms are adorable, the barbecue helpful, the TV and a musical center are comforting, the Jacuzzi tub with SPA shampoos is unforgettable. And the most surprising part is this fantastic view from the master bedroom huge window! When the last time you saw a sunrise above the mountains? This is the opportunity to do it from the house balcony, sitting there with a cup of tea. 20-25 minutes to all popular locations (Old town, Sea World etc). Thanks for our fantastic vacation!Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 0/0

Trish was great to work with arranging the rental. Bill was wonderful to meet. Did a great job of showing us the house, really enjoyed visiting with him. This house is beautiful and met our needs perfectly. I would stay here again. The only down side is there are no window treatments in the master bedroom or downstairs. So if you don't want to wake up at sun rise on your vacation, bring a sleep mask. There is a great view from the Master Bedroom.Recommended for: Sightseeing, girls getaway, families with young children, age 55+, families with teenagers.

My girlfriend and I went on a 8 person couples retreat to getaway from our lives and to celebrate a late valentines. The house was amazing. It accommodated all of us more than we anticipated. It was not far from sea world or downtown San diego. My personal favorite thing about the house was the view. My girlfriend and I woke up and saw the sunrise over the mountain range in the master bedroom and it was one of the most breath taking views that I have seen. The jacuzzi was the cherry on top for this getaway.Recommended for: Sightseeing, girls getaway, families with young children, pet owners, romantic getaway, age 55+, families with teenagers.

This was a very beautiful home and it was just as it was pictured. The owners are very nice and welcoming to their guests. The view was breathtaking from the master bedroom and the rooms were very big to accommodate each couple. This house is located in El Cajon, which isn't far from attractions such as Sea World and Downtown San Diego. The drive wasn't bad and it was worth it to come back to a nice house on a hill away from the city. It was very relaxing and everything that was needed was provided. This retreat was definitely needed!Recommended for: Sightseeing, girls getaway, families with young children, pet owners, romantic getaway, age 55+, families with teenagers.

I enjoyed every single moment staying in this house. Some friends and I came here for a short retreat and did not want to leave! The owners were so accommodating, helpful, and knew a lot about different things to do in San Diego. The house isn't very far from Seaworld and downtown/Gaslamp at all. It was such a beautiful community to stay in and walk around. I loved all of the windows that lit up the house and showed the amazing view. All of the rooms were spacious and extremely comfortable. Especially the huge master bathroom with jacuzzi! I will never forget this place!Recommended for: Sightseeing, girls getaway, adventure seekers, romantic getaway.

Home was exactly as pictured. View from Master bedroom was beautiful. Owners could not have been nicer or made it easier. We needed a last minute place to stay. Owners were out of town and still made it a great and easy experience. Deposit was returned in just a few days. We had left some items behind, the owner took pictures, sent them to us, offered to help get them back. Truly could not have gone any further above and beyond. We thank you for a wonderful experience.Recommended for: Girls getaway, families with young children, romantic getaway, age 55+, families with teenagers.

I highly recommend this property for a family or group vacation. The property was very neat and well-appointed and had more than enough room for our party of 6 (4 adults and 2 kids). It was ideal for our purposes to be near enough San Diego to explore the attractions near downtown and those which were further away from the city. I would definitely consider staying here again for a future vacation to San Diego. Another plus was there was a library and catholic church just up the road. Not to mention, the owners were very helpful, accomodating, and a pleasure to deal with.Recommended for: Families with young children.

We enjoyed staying at this property and would most definitely recomend it to friends or relatives. Everything was clean and well kept. We had a wonderful time just sitting around and visiting. It was also close to other relatives. It was much more relaxing than staying in a motel. We did not use many of the nearby things because we were in the area primarily to celebrate a birthday for our aunt. Trish was very nice to work with.Recommended for: Girls getaway, age 55+, families with teenagers.

Owner info
Year Purchased: 2008
About the owner: I enjoy riding motorcycles, hiking, swimming, golf and long walks. I frequently visit the Crest Iibrary attend bi-monthly Bunco and Bingo nights. I have been working on adding additional improvements to the house and the yard. I also am a California State Notary Public. I have two sons and three grandsons. My grandsons are 6, 3 and 2. I spend several hours organizing and planning for all sorts of travelers and visitors from the U.K., Canada to accomodate them in our home and making it such a great place for them to come and stay in Crest.
Why the Owner Chose El Cajon:
I bought the property in 2001,and with the help of my companion, family, friends from work and community rebuilt a beautiful custom two story home to share with others from all over the world. It took five years to rebuild after the 2003 Cedar fires and we received final on the house in January of 2009. I ride a '96 Custom Softtail Harley. I have three beautiful grandsons! Last year we took a break and did a 62 day, 26 state motorcycle vacation from San Diego to Laconia, N.H. for a motorcycle rally via Canada.
The Unique Benefits at this House:
I enjoy the jacuzzi bath in the master bathroom and relax after the day in it looking out the window facing the mountains or looking over to the television to capture American Idol and Dancing with the Stars. I enjoy the quiet walks and the neighbor lets me pick a fresh orange off her tree. I enjoy the Crest library and the staff who are so helpful and the Crest Community Association which has a brand new clubhouse for booking weddings, parties etc and have your honeymoon right here in Crest. I enjoy being on the top of the mountain and try to find reasons not to go down the mountain into the city. I enjoy motorcycle riding and going to the Harley Dealerships and meeting with other riders and sharing stories. I enjoy the smell of a brand new house. I enjoy the natural wildlife and the trails. I enjoy the horses and the riders that pass the front of my house to cross over to get to the other side of the street. I enjoy the peacocks and the ponies when I pass them coming up the top of the hill in my vehicle. I enjoy the nearby shopping malls, only 25 minutes away from Qualcomm Stadium where the Chargers play. Only a 25 minute drive to Sea World and the beach. Everything appears to be only around a 25 minute drive down to the city for fun! There are 3 Indian casinos within a 9 mile radius. There is Alpine and Julian just east of us if you like apple pie!Check out the terrific CREST WEB SITE ,the Crest Sun Newsletter on-line which includes lots of information on local events, community concerns, articles, lost and found, electroniccopies of present and past issues of the Crest Sun, ads and more.
