Akiskinook Resort is the perfect all season vacation destination - a family resort featuring a sandy beach, marina, indoor pool and brand new hot tub, exercise facilities, games room, squash court, tennis courts, basketball court, newly installed kids playground and lots of green space for playing or relaxing. In the winter months the resort provides skating on the lake and cross-country skiing.
Our newly-renovated condominium has a spectacular view of the mountain ranges. Its southern exposure starts your day with sun on the deck to enjoy a leisurely breakfast. The beach is just a five-minute short stroll; and the town of Invermere is only five minutes by car where you can enjoy shopping and browsing at some of the unique stores. Do not forget to sample the delicious treats at the Main Street bakery.
For the golfer, the Lake Windermere valley offers some of the finest golf courses in B.C. from March through to October. Hikers can enjoy exploring the many hiking trails with spectacular scenery. In the winter months, skiers have the choice of the world-class Panorama Ski Resort (only 20 minutes away) and Fairmont Ski hill is very close by. The frozen lake also offers wonderful cross country skiing.
Of course, you cannot go to Invermere without experiencing the year-round famous Radium and Fairmont Mineral Hot Springs, both only 20 minutes away. The Valley area also includes numerous amusement parks for kids, as well as miniature golf, horseback riding and river rafting.
