This was our 3rd year staying here. We come at this time to celebrate birthdays in September. This year my son's bday actually fell on friday the 16th. It's become a tradition, and we were as pleased with our stay this time, as we were 2 times before. I really enjoyed the new bed downstairs; and my grandson, and son, the one upstairs (it was a trading off kind of thing). My son, and grandson, were out on the lake most of the time, either in the paddleboat, or the canoe. My granddaughters (4-2) were in the paddleboat as well, when they could get it away from the older kids (hehehe). We intended to use the firepit but it was a bit too chilly...so we played cards inside instead. it's a beautiful little place, right on the water, and had GREAT photo ops of sunrises!! I noticed there was some new landscaping changes this year too!! very nice. if you are one who enjoys the natural world, and a peaceful place to gather with comfortable amenities this is the place for you. we'll be coming back next year i am sure.

We had a good time staying here but there is no air conditioning, just fans. It was fine for us because we had a very cold week in September and only one hot day. The cottage is very close to the main house. There are about 5 channels that come in on the TV and not always consistently so if you have to be around for nap times like we did bring a good book or DVDs (although it didn't work when we were there). The cottage overall is very clean but needs a little TLC and could use some curtains in the bedroom that actually cover the window for privacy. Bring your own pillows unless you like flat pancake ones. The beach is 10 minutes away and very nice. We mainly went to the Sheboygan area since there isn't much to do in Kiel with a 2 yr old and dog. I would recommend going to the Wisconsin Maritime Museum if you have little kids. The water play area was fun for all of us and we were in there for almost 2 hours. Plus the submarine tour guide was very nice and patient with our 2 yr old.

me and my husband really enjoyed the cottage on the lake. he loves fishing so having the lake right outside the house really worked for him. there are are lot of things to do. boating, fishing, paddleboating, overall a lot of water activities. there are quite a few lakes within half an hour drive too. i personally loved the beach, only 10 mins away! also, grilling, a fire pit, etc. a lot of fun things to do. the only thing i didnt really like were the little flies and mosquitos, but that's nature!

Once again it was beautiful. Being right on the lake and watching the sun come up on the water. We select this time of year (September) because of several birthdays at this time. The kids all enjoyed the paddle boat, and the water toys. We have a big party with adults and children, and the cottage is just perfect. having the new deck this year was GREAT! a wonderful spot to have a fire in the fire pit, roast marshmellows, and then play cards!! See you in September again this year. Oh and the main house is sooo beautiful with all the gardens, etc. Although we don't have access, it's a beautiful sight!!

It was awesome to have the cabin right on the lake. No paddleboat or canoe in water, they were sitting on the shore. The bottom of lake was all mucky, so hard to enjoy swimming. We were there in June and the mosquitoes were HORRIBLE!!! We have a 7 year old daughter and she loved fishing off the dock!!!
Owner response:I just want to clarify why we do not put the paddleboat or the canoe in the water, everytime it rains they fill with water and it is hard to empty them, if they are on shore they are easy to clean out or can be kept upsidedown.

The property looks even better in person!!! The lakefront view was absolutely wonderful!! Seeing the sunshine every morning on the water was a great way to start the day. We had wonderful weather for the 1st week of October. We brough our dog and he had a wonderful time too. The paddle boat and canoe were great to have on hand to get out into the water. I would absolutley stay at this cabin again, the host were very friendly and the private setting was perfect for a getaway! Great for big groups or just the two of you :)

We stayed here in August during the full moon. Since the cottage is literally right on the lake, we watched the full moon from the patio door. The cabin was exceptionally clean; the grounds and dock well maintained. The setting was very private. The lake was quiet during the week--practically had it to ourselves. We went to Green Bay & Manitowoc.

This cottage has a wonderful view of the lake from almost every window. It is surrounded by deck and is complete with grill, outdoor tables/chairs, and water toys. It is in a very quiet and peaceful setting- you will have the lake almost to yourselves during the week. We used it as a base camp to golf some of the many fine courses in the area, antiqued in Plymouth, attended the EAA Airventure in Oshkosh, watched cheese being made at Hennings, and fished the lake. A near by public boat ramp provides easy access for those who wish to bring their own boats or wave runners, and a paddle boat and canoe are provided for non-boat owners. The cottage is well stocked for those who wish to cook in, and those who prefer meals out will find a large variety of restaurants in the area. It is an excellent value for the price.
